Bethesda may showcaseThe Elder Scrolls 6as early as July 2025, a well-known leaker has said. This claim was made as part of a widerTES 6report that also offered many new alleged details about the upcoming game.

WhileSkyrimis turning 14 this year, its successor is still nowhere in sight. June 10 will mark the seventhanniversary of the firstTES 6teaser, a 36-second video consisting solely of pre-rendered footage. Bethesda has shared precious little info about the project since its announcement, in part because it was focused on finishingStarfieldup until late 2023.

This period of radio silence may finally be nearing its end, according to Extas1s. As part of the latest video posted on his YouTube channel, theSpanish content creator and long-time Xbox leakerreported that Bethesda could offer fans a glimpse ofTES 6as early as this summer, citing unnamed sources. Specifically, the leaker claimed that the first real look at the game could arrive in July 2025.

Summer 2025 Seems a Bit Optimistic for a TES 6 Trailer

The newly shared trailer timing prediction seems a bit optimistic, given what Bethesda revealed about the much-anticipated RPG to date. Although theSkyrimsequel was announced way back in 2018, it’s been in pre-production for the majority of the seven years that followed.TES 6only started active development in October 2023, following the early September release ofStarfield. And while the space-faring RPG was in the works for eight years, a lot of its development time was dedicated to overhauling the Creation Engine—something that Bethesda doesn’t do for every game. Therefore, even though summer 2025 might seem to be too early for the firstTES 6trailer, it’s not a completely impossible time frame, especially since the game is expected to be completed faster thanStarfield.

TES 6 Will Reportedly Have at Least a Dozen Large Cities

The Spanish YouTuber’s February 20 report included some other purported details about the project, including the claim thatTES 6will feature at least a dozen large cities. Thedragons fromSkyrimwill supposedly return in the upcoming RPG, together with flexible leveling mechanics that aren’t based on classes but more natural, activity-based progression.TES 6may also feature naval battles and a shipbuilding system inspired by the one fromStarfield, as per the same source. Extas1s also reiterated past reports about the game taking place in Hammerfell and High Rock.

If Bethesda truly ends up showcasingTES 6in summer 2025, such a move would be a strong indicator that the studio is aiming to release it before the end of the current console generation, or at the very start of the next one. Back in June 2023, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer characterizedTES 6as “a game that’s five-plus years away” while testifying on the then-pending Activision Blizzard acquisition.
