Gamers looking forward to picking up a copy of Ultizero’s action RPGLost Soul Asidemight be glad to hear that, in addition to digital, it will be getting a physical standard edition release. During the February PlayStation State of Play showcase,Lost Soul Asidefinally got a release date, June 01, 2025, and pre-orders are now open.
Lost Soul Asidewas originally announced all the way back in 2017and was highly anticipated even then. Over the years, however, the game gradually disappeared from people’s minds. February brought it back to the forefront, reintroducing players to Kaser, a warrior with a shapeshifting weapon and a dragon-like companion on a quest to see if he can save his younger sister.
Lost Soul Asidereleases on May 30 for PS5 and PC, and it is already available to preorder. There will be a standard edition, a digital deluxe edition — featuring three weapon fragment cosmetics, a skin for Kaser’s dragon friend, health and XP boosters, and a digital soundtrack and art book — and a physical standard edition to choose from. Those who preorder Ultizero’s upcoming RPG will also get 500 in-game coins, 10 high potion in-game items, and Kaser’s outfit from his initial reveal.
Lost Soul Aside Will Offer Digital and Physical Versions
Despite being a Sony-published title, thePC version ofLost Soul Asidehas removed its planned PSN account requirement. This means players won’t need to worry about linking accounts and PC gamers in regions without PSN access will also be able to enjoy the RPG when it finally launches.
A trailer released in December showcased the game’s combat and gameplay, revealing thatLost Soul Asidehas a realDevil May Cryvibe. Combat has been a major focus for Ultizero’s game director and CEO, Yang Bing, who revealed in aPlayStation.Blog postthat he wanted something “so fluid, fast, and stylish that you never want to put the controller down.” Players will be able to choose their preferred playstyle, thanks to the protagonist’s shapeshifting weapon, and there will also be loadouts to easily swap between favorites. Like the series it’s been compared to,Lost Soul Aside’s combat will center on chaining combos together, as well as synergizing with Kaser’s companion, Arena.
Though fans were hyped after gameplay reveals all the way back in 2021, it’s unclear just how much ofLost Soul Asidewill have remained the same in the ensuing years. But Ultizero has worked hard to deliver an enhanced experience, and the game was developed with the PS5’s capabilities in mind. The developer promises fast loading to minimize the transition time from combat to exploration, and the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback will help with immersion during combat.
