Wizards of the Coast revealed that several future “Universes Beyond” sets will be coming throughout 2025, with the first major expansion set to feature the iconicFinal Fantasyfranchise in early June. Marvel will also be a major focus forMagic: the Gathering’s upcoming crossovers, between the recent Marvel “Secret Lair” cards and the teasedSpider-Manexpansion. However, the most recent teaser confirms that a fan-favorite animated series will soon be making the jump intoMagic.
Wizards of the Coast officially announced the upcomingAvatar: the Last Airbendercrossover during this weekend’s MagicCon: Chicago event. The teaser trailer confirmed thatAvatarwill be introduced as a new Standard format-legal “Universes Beyond” expansion set, much likethe upcomingFinal Fantasyset. Wizards of the Coast did not reveal any new cards or artwork for the collaboration within the 30-second-long teaser trailer. The announcement did, however, confirm the official release date for theAvatar: the Last Airbenderset, scheduled to be available for purchase on November 21.
