10Storm

An Elemental Team-up On Steroids

The trailer showed it all.The team-upbetween Storm and Human Torch is crazy. If the unstoppable tornado that tears through the backlines wasn’t enough, how about a blazing one with more size and more damage?

When the ult charge is still building, the duo is still a powerful aerial threat, bombarding choke points with wind blades and flaming walls. The combo works best on maps with plenty of cover and chokes that allow the high-damage output to hit hard.

9Spider-Man

Impossible To Pin Down

Who would’ve thought that spiders and flying would get along so well? By creating constant pressure on the supports and forcing other duelists to assist in fending off the Spider, Human Torch can pump out damage with little to no threat from enemy fire.

On top of this, the flaming meteor ability lets the flaming powerhouse dive in with Spider-man and wreak havoc with the flame fields to take care of any healers trying to escape the attack.

8The Thing

Immovable Object And A Flaming Barrage

A fellowmember of the Fantastic Four, The Thing packs a punch and quite literally runs over entire teams. The Yancy Street charge offers very consistent crowd control, knocking up enemies and setting them up for a perfect execution.

And when things go poorly, The Thing can leap to Torch at a great distance, escaping from the action and providing a resistance buff for Torch to continue fighting with. It’s consistent, it’s strong and it’s damn fun.

7Groot

An Area Control Nightmare

He is Groot. He is the wall. And what’s better than one set of tanky wooden walls? High damage flaming ones of course. It’s hard enough navigating the maps when there are vines dishing out damage and obstructing the path but with this duo, the tighter corridors are now littered with sudden bursts of flaming destruction.

It can take a bit of time to find thebest uses for Groot’s walls, but once it’s second nature, the enemy team won’t be able to take a step without being pummeled and set ablaze.

6Iron Man

Death From Above

With another addition to the skies, dodging just got a whole lot harder. Iron Man has an incredibly high damage output, both single target and splash, making groups of enemies disappear with the help of the raining hellfire.

Plus, by using the flame fields, Human Torch can zone enemies into specific locations, clumping them up ready for a pulse fire multi-kill. The pair can also assist each other on the fly with their high mobility and consistent DPS output.

5Invisible Woman

Four Is For Family with an Efficient Healer

Another Fantastic Four member and another fantastic pairing. The Invisible Woman has been a staple pick since her release and players have developed a knack for well-timed pushes and huge team-fights ultimates. With the team-up, Human Torch gains access to a whole new ability, providing bonus health regeneration, which helps out in the 1v1 duels with enemy heroes.

Combine the ults and Torch can fire for free without the threat of being targeted from afar, all while being topped up and outputting a boatload of damage from the safety of the invisible field.

4Mantis

No More Screaming For Heals with Life Orbs

Mantis is one of thestrongest strategists in the game, having a lot of tools in her hit to pump out high healing numbers and damage boost teammates who want to go heavy on the offensive. Flying targets can be awkward to heal in tense fights, so being able to toss healing and damage boosts from afar, keeps the fight going and reduces downtime significantly.

Her sedation ability is incredibly powerful when followed up upon by a nearby teammate, and Human Torch is never too far for a dive bomb to finish the sleeping foe. Plus, Torch can take the combat

up close and personal during Soul Resurgence, allowing for critical hits to land with little to no risk of dying.

3The Punisher

Covering Fire From the Ground to Keep the Skies Clear

If the enemy team is also picking up Torch or one of the other flying characters, the Punisher can shoot them down like a clay pigeon in no time. He also dishes an insane amount of DPS out while ulting, making the focus fire in the midst of tornadoes and walls consistent and strong.

He can also make up for the weaknesses a team comp may have like peeling the backline with his shotgun and smoke or laying into the tanks with high-power critical hits. With so much damage and ground-based threat, Torch can navigate the skies freely and be ready to take down those left behind.

2Doctor Strange

Utter Annihilation by Stopping Time and Absorbing Ground Attacks

Strange isincredibly popularand with good reason. He does a lot of damage, soaks a lot of fire, and has one of the best stunning ults. By locking down an entire team at once, Torch can slam in and cast tornadoes and flame fields all around, locking in enemies and wiping the floor with them.

Strange can also be fairly self-sufficient, not needing excessive supportive healing, which frees up friendly strategists to focus the skies with their powerful heals and damage buffs.

1Peni Parker

One Misstep And It’s All Over for this Mine-Using Vanguard

Once again, spiders prove they love fire. By littering the halls and payloads with a web of explosive mines, Peni can lock down entire areas of the map from the enemy and the second they start the final push, the flame fields rise, causing significant AOE damage and area denial.

She has one of the best CC tools in her kit, which if landed correctly, can net an instant kill thanks to the Torch’s ability to dish out high single-target damage, then go back to spamming entire teams with flaming nukes.
