As reported by PC Gamer, the executive director ofMonster Hunter Wilds, Kaname Fujioka, revealed the latest installment would scrap the Wyverian language voice option in favor of real-life human languages. TheMonster Hunterfranchise has an impressive list of the strongest flying Wyvernstoo, and the Wyvernian language option was a favored feature by many players. Therefore, the decision to remove it is a disappointing one. However, Fujioka explained that the team was focusing more on the game’s narrative this time around, saying, “I’ve put a lot of focus on the story this time around.”

Monster Hunter Wilds Will Not Feature the Wyverian Language Playthrough

Fujioka expanded on the greater immersion players will receive by removing this feature and being exposed to the human languages on offer, including the Hunter character who will have dialogue lines for the first time in the series. “So you can’t have all that changed to a Monster Hunter Language, because I think it kind of wouldn’t make sense anymore as a storyline,” Fujioka noted, justifying the team’s decision to take a different route with this title. However, similar to howMonster Hunter Wildsplayers will discover a host of tricks on their own, players will also stumble across Wyverian still being spoken in certain conversations to keep the popular language integrated within this franchise entry.
