Over social media, Capcom tasked players with utilizing a special hashtag in an effort to reach 100,000 posts in total. The event ran from Feb 16 to the 23, but clearly the task wasn’t too difficult for fans to complete theMonster Hunter WildsCommunity Challenge. In a new post, Capcom confirmed that the challenge was completed and as a reward for the efforts made, the studio is gifting all players with 100 Armor Spheres at launch.

Monster Hunter Wilds Giving Players Free Rewards

For longtime players, Armor Spheres are a core resource inMonster Hunter, originally appearing in the second game as a way to improve armor. The same appears to be true for this latest entry, as players can take these Armor Spheres to Gemma, theSmithy inMonster Hunter Wilds. It’s worth noting that there are different types of Armor Spheres to collect, and these appear to be the standard versions, but still, they should go a long way to helping characters in the early portions of the game.

Alongside the free DLC,Monster Hunter Wildsis getting a major Day 1 update. Thankfully, the game is available for preloading, which also includes the massive 18GB update, though what it includes is still a mystery for now as Capcom hasn’t released the official patch notes yet. Outside the usual bug fixes and gameplay tweaks, many fans have begun to speculate that the update could include high-resolution textures, which would indeed result in a higher file size overall. Either way, fans won’t have to wait long beforeMonster Hunter Wildsarrives on February 28.
