Seeking the Goldenfish is one of these quests and can be triggered by speaking with Kanya again at any point after completing theMonster Hunter Wildsfishing tutorial. She gives players a special lure and asks them to catch a Goldenfish, and even provides a few hints on where they can find one.
Where to Find a Goldenfish in Monster Hunter Wilds (Goldenfish Location)
Kanya mentions that Goldenfish favor dark pools away from the light of the sun and suggests that players seek them underground. The best place to look for them is thereforethe underground pool in Area 8 of the Scarlet Forest. The entrance to the pool in question is hidden behind a waterfall just north of the number 8 marker, which is in the northeastern part of the region.
How to Catch a Goldenfish in Monster Hunter Wilds
To catch a Goldenfish,Monster Hunter Wildsshould pull out their fishing rod and then press and hold either the L1 (PlayStation) or LB (Xbox) button to bring up the Lure menu. Next, they’ll need to use the face buttons indicated on-screen toequip the Golden Bughead lure. From here, it’s a simple case of looking for a gold-colored fish in the pool and casting the lure nearby, then reeling the line in once the fish decides to take a bite.
Seeking the Goldenfish Quest Rewards
After reeling in a Goldenfish, players should return to base camp and speak with Kanya again. She’ll congratulate them on their catch and recommend that they sell the Goldenfish at the provisioner’s, as it’s apparently worth a pretty penny. Once the conversation ends, the quest will be marked as complete and players will be rewarded withthreeWhetfish FinandfiveHoney. They’ll also receive someexperienceand50 Guild Points.
