Unfortunately, this massive ego boost would give him a foul and abrasive personality, and he would often commit deeds that were unworthy of that of a hero, which had been bullying theQuirkless, such as Midoriya Izuku. Although Bakugo had high aspirations, he first needed a severe reality check, as although he may have been exceptionally powerful in the town of Masutafu, he was undoubtedly proven wrong when the Sludge villain kidnaped him.

Midoriya, have you seen this? Your childhood friend is gonna drop in the chart once again.

After beginning his Pro Hero career, Bakugo instantly ranked as the Number 4 hero on the Hero Billboard Chart JP. Kirishima points out that this was because the people of Japan admired Bakugo’s role in the battle against All For One, where his explosive abilitiessaved All Mightand significantly weakened All For One. However, Bakugo had not fully shed his abrasive personality; he famously yelled at a fan recording him, which ledto a significant drop in his chart ranking due to his behavior.Unfortunately, due to continued incidents of this nature, no matter how much Aizawa tried to instill media training into him, he has yet to learn.

Although Bakugo had grand ideals for his future, he, unfortunately, dropped down to 15th place in the charts purelydue to his conduct with fans and interviews. Aside from Bakugo’s personality to those unfamiliar to him, he has matured considerably and shows that he cares by means of actions. In Chapter 430, All Might giftsMidoriya with his Armored Suit, funded by Class A and Bakugo at the heart of it, once again giving Deku the ability to achieve his dream of becoming a hero.

In Chapter 431, Bakugo is seen driving Kirishima and Midoriya to a restaurant to celebrate Todoroki Shoto’s Number 2 ranking in theHero Billboard Chart JP; during the ride, it’s revealed that Bakugo laminated the All Might trading card and had it signed by All Might, securing it safety on a key holder. During this time, it was also revealed that Bakugo had been looking for Sidekicks to start at his Agency.

However, due to Bakugo’s bad reputation, many are left crying because of his high standards. Bakugo has always valued determination and a goal-oriented mindset. The only reason he did not accept any potential Sidekicks was that none of them wanted to surpass him in any manner. This was mostly likely Bakugo’s way of nurturing future pro heroes.

During this conversation, Bakugo also inquired whether Midoriya would continue teaching at U.A High School, to which Deku affirmed his decision. Unbeknownst to Midoriya, this was Bakugo asking him to join his hero Agency. Although Bakugo got rejected, to which Kirishima teased him, Bakugo still accepted Midoriya’s answer, as he knew how much teaching meant to him. During this conversation,Bakugo advised Midoriya to think more highly about himself, as his oblivious nature will make him miss obvious signs from those around him.

As the evening draws to a close, Class A, now fully recognized as Pro Heroes, receives a notification regarding a stolen vehicle. In response, all members rapidly prepare by donning their costumes to address the situation. Following the successful resolution of the incident, Bakugo informs the group of his impending departure, noting that Edgeshot will be returningto Japan in the morning. Subsequently, Midoriya extends an invitation to Bakugo to serve as a guest instructor, given that Aizawa intends to conduct a class focused on communication. Immediately sensing that Bakugo would be used as a bad example, the two laugh and amicably give their regards, showcasing how far their friendship has now come.

Bakugo Katsuki has come a long way from the person he used to be, although he still has bouts of his flawed personality.
