Kirishima Eijirohad always been inspired by the Pro Hero: Crimson Riot due to their similar Quirks and Crimson Riots ideology. With this, Kirishima always sought to save others when they were in need; however, at the time, his Hardening Quirkwas weak and had yet to develop into its current state, which meant even with a weak Quirk, Kirishima believed anyone could stand up to those in need.
I’m not even a man, let alone a hero…
Kirishima began to see flaws in this ideology. Despite his strong ambitions, he still felt weak-willed and hesitant to call himself a “man.” Only after witnessingAshida Mina’s determinationin the face of the unknown Giganmachia did he start to grasp the weight of his inaction. Following a hologram of a Crimson Riot interview, Kirishima discovers the true meaning of being “manly.” He realizes it embodies a mindset where individuals live without regret. From that moment onward, he committed to making changes within himself to avoid living a life filled with regret, as that was what heroism meant to him.
Embracing his renewed zeal and optimistic view, Kirishima aims to positively impact those around him, including Bakugo Katsuki, who still maintains a grumpy demeanor. While atU.A. High School, Kirishima encounters many situations that could make him fearful; nevertheless, his unwavering determination drives him onward. He also suggested the mission to rescue Bakugo after his abduction by theLeague of Villains, showcasing his commitment to actively pursuing his objectives.
However, Kirishima proved his worth during the Shie Hassaikai arc. Once again, he needed to save himself, as he andFat Gum were up against stronger opponents. Here, Kirishima reflects on his inability to continue the battle; however, like a true Hero, he continues to stand firm, unwilling to be defeated.
I won’t regret anything anymore! I’m going to become a hero who can protect people! I’m saying goodbye to the pathetic me!
Although Crimson Riot inspired Kirishima to lead a life free of regrets and instilled in him a desire to embody masculinity, Ashido Mina remained his hero. Her unwavering determination and persistent efforts consistently motivated him to surpass his previous limitations. With this revitalized sense of resolve, Kirishima faced the once-dreaded Gigantomachia, successfully atoning for his shortcomings.
Where Does Kirishima End Up After Graduation?
Ready to Start A Solo Career, Red Riot is Just Short of The Top Rankings
Upon graduating from U.A. High School, Kirishima joined the ranks of full-fledged Pro-Heroes alongside many Class A alumni, except for Midoriya Izuku, who had lost his Quirk. However, eight years later, All Might presentedMidoriya with a new mechanical Armor Suit, funded by former Class A students, with Bakugo Katsuki playing a central role in its development. Like many of Midoriya’s past classmates, Kirishima holds deep respect for him and acknowledges his pivotal contribution in defeating Shigaraki Tomura and All For One.
In Chapter 430, Kirishima and the remainder of theformer Class Aare seen heading out to an incident with Midoriya in tow. However, it is in Chapter 431 that we see how far Kirishima has come after graduating from U.A. High School. While situated within Bakugo Katsuki’s newly acquired vehicle, the friendship between Bakugo and Kirishima is demonstrated, indicating that their friendship endures years after graduation and that Bakugo has developed a greater tolerance towards others.
Eight years following his graduation, Kirishima, also known as Red Riot, currently holds the rank of Number 12 on theHero Billboard Charts in Japanand has recently commenced his solo career, with the assistance ofFat Gumand Amajiki during this transition. Given that Midoriya remains a teacher at U.A. High School, Kirishima has expressed interest in determining whether there are any students or potential sidekicks who align with his fighting style, indicative of his ambition to expand his agency.
Kirishima praised his former classmates,Yaoyorozu Momoand Iida Tenya, for launching their solo careers without a hint of jealousy, even teasing Bakugo about his high standards while searching for a potential sidekick. On the way to Todoroki Shoto’s celebration, Kirishima also told Midoriya that Bakugo wanted to invite him to join his Agency. Unfortunately for Bakugo, Midoriya firmly declined, expressing his passion for teaching.
During Todoroki’s celebration for achieving the prestigious position of Number 2 on the Hero Billboard Charts JP, Kirishima was in attendance asTokoyami Fumikagearticulated concerns regarding the gradual decline of Pro Heroes, attributing it to diminishing crime rates and the overwhelming prowess of these heroes.
Nevertheless, following an engagement with an incident involving a stolen vehicle, Kirishima asserted emphatically that Pro Heroes would not be facing unemployment in the foreseeable future, as individuals endowed with potentially villainous Quirks often exhibit impulsive behaviors that can lead to criminal activities. Once the incident was resolved, Kirishima secured a ride home with Bakugo, Ashido Mina, and presumablyKaminari Denki, reflecting their longstanding friendship.
My Hero Academia
Cast
In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the “One-For-All” quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
