Naruto Uzumaki is the protagonist of the story and certainly one of the most powerful characters in the franchise. Having started his journey as a rather weak ninja, Naruto had little chance of making it and becoming the Hokage of the series. But, against all odds, Naruto certainly went on to accomplish his dream, acquiring tremendous power in the process. One of Naruto’s biggest powers in the entire story was the Six Paths Powers, along with which he also got the Truth-Seeking Balls.
These ended up becoming a major advantage for Naruto Uzumaki in battle and they most definitely helped him beatthe likes of Kaguya Otsutsuki, and later, even Sasuke Uchiha. But, as the progressed, Naruto continuously lost one ball after another, and in the end, was left with none. Given that these balls don’t simply get destroyed, Naruto should’ve gained access to them again, but he never did, for one reason or another.
How Naruto Lost His Truth-Seeking Balls
Naruto Uzumaki gained the Six Paths Powers during the Fourth Great Ninja War, and it is safe to say that these balls ended up becoming one of his best weapons. Essentially, when Naruto tapped into the power of his Six Paths Senjutsu fully, he got access to nine truth-seeking orbs. These pitch-black orbs were shown to be the ultimate form of offense and defense in the entire series. They were said to be composed of all five nature transformations along with Yin and Yang release.

Their power was such that they could easily nullify any ninjutsu launched at them without any trouble whatsoever. Any Taijutsu launched at them would also fail to break them. Offensively, these Truth Seeking Balls were so powerful that any injury dealt by them could not even be recovered from my Edo Tensei. Their powers were said to be so destructive that they were openly stated to be superior to Dust Release, meaning they destroyed the targets at a molecular level and completely disintegrated them upon contact. Undoubtedly, the Truth-Seeking Balls were shown to be the strongest of all powers in the world ofNaruto, undoubtedly.
Naruto having nine of these balls meant that he would’ve been essentially invincible at the end of the story. However, he kept losing them one after the other. Naruto Used the first two to deal with Madara’s limbo shadow, piercing his body from two sides. They were left in place somewhere across the battlefield. Then, he lent one to Sasuke to stand on, never to see it again. Against Kaguya, Naruto went on to use more of the Truth-Seeking Balls and he seemingly lost two in her dimensions. When the battle against Sasuke began, Naruto Uzumaki was left with 4 Truth-Seeking Balls. Right at the beginning of the battle, fans could see Sasuke swap places with Naruto’s Truth-Seeking Ball, which reduced the number to 3.
Finally, the last three were used by Naruto duringthe battle against Sasuke Uchiha. He still held all three of them until the last moment he maintained Six Paths Sage Mode, but once he lost the transformation, the balls would never return again.
It must be kept in mind that the Truth-Seeking Balls cannot be remade by the user. Any user of the Six Paths Senjutsu has 9 of them, and they cannot be replenished. But, they also cannot be destroyed either. They have a radius of 75 meters, as was revealed in theNarutoseries, and beyond that, the user loses control over them. But, if they’re in the vicinity once again, they should be able to control the balls.
Naruto’s Overpowered Nature
Naruto Uzumaki Would’ve Been Too Overpowered
It must be said that while Naruto lost control over the Truth-Seeking Balls for a while due to them being out of his range, he could’ve easily gone back to them. Even the ones left in Kaguya’s dimensions could’ve been regained since Sasuke has access to all her dimensions. However,Naruto never regained any of them. Even the three that he was clearly left with after the battle against Sasuke were lost somehow, and fans never got to see them return ever.

There is no valid reason for Naruto to lose the Truth-Seeking Balls at all, especially the last three. The only reason why Naruto didn’t have the Truth-Seeking Balls again was simply because the author didn’t want him to have them again. Either the author completely forgot about them, which would explain why they never made it into his arsenal again, or he purposely chose to keep them out.
The only explanation behind the second idea is that Naruto would’ve been too powerful with them. Especially when Sasuke lost an arm and Naruto regained his immediately, the author might’ve thought that it would be better for Naruto to lose some form of power as well. Unfortunately, this is just our reasoning because the author will most definitely never address this.
A Chance For Boruto To Succeed
Boruto Would’ve Been Easy For Naruto To Take Care Of
Undoubtedly, theBorutoseries is massive and there are some very powerful villainsfor both Naruto and Sasuketo fight. But, these villains would’ve been dealt with a lot easily if Naruto had access to his Truth-Seeking Balls. Essentially, he could’ve eradicated his enemies with a single strike and that’s something that fans need to consider. The entireBorutoseries would’ve been dominated by Naruto Uzumaki had he maintained his control over the Truth-Seeking Balls.
Perhaps, it is a blessing for Boruto Uzumaki and the villains in his story that Naruto was as nerfed as he was. Without that, it would’ve been impossiblefor any of the Otsutsukito actually pose a solid threat to Naruto Uzumaki, and at the same time, it would’ve also taken Boruto’s chances to shine in the story. After all, Naruto would’ve been an invincible individual who nobody could take on and beat in battle, aside from maybe Shibai Otsutsuki.
Hopefully,Kishimoto can see this power of Naruto Uzumaki returnin the future, but at the moment, even Naruto himself isn’t in the story, which might be an indication of the fact that his powers are even less likely to return. All fans can do is sit back patiently and wait for the return of the Seventh Hokage, and once that happens, see if he ever gets his truth-seeking balls back.
