The new patch is set to go live at 9 AM UTC on February 13, which translates to 4 AM EST and 1 AM PST. While there haven’t been many major gameplaybugs inMarvel Rivals, one of the more important features coming in the update is a “heroic sweep” that the developers are making to avoid collision problems with map objects. This bug has been particularly damaging to players who have encountered it, as it could allow them to slip through walls or become unexpectedly trapped by the environment, preventing them from fairly participating in matches. Additionally, players have been experiencing problems with their KOs scored during overtime not being counted, but the new patch will fix this issue too.

There are also a few changes coming to a select number of heroes in the game. Two of these changes pertain to Hulk and Wolverine’sMarvel Rivalsteam-up ability, the Fastball Special, in which Hulk hurls Wolverine at an opponent. The update fixes an issue in which this team-up could allow Wolverine’s Berserk Claw Strike to be activated during his Feral Leap while also resolving an issue that was preventing Hulk from throwing Wolverine if the former was hit by Namor’s ultimate ability while charging up the throw.

Other heroes affected by the new patch will be Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Jeff the Land Shark. After the update goes live,Doctor Strange’s Portalswill no longer be able to be interrupted by Loki if the God of Mischief transforms into him while the portals are in the process of being placed. Jeff’s Bubble Trouble ability is being nerfed, preventing an unintended quirk that had been allowing his bubbles to breach opponents' healing gates and enter the spawn room. Finally, the fix to Iron Man is cosmetic, preventing a bug that had been causing his arms to sometimes disappear after using the Armor Overdrive ability.
