One of PS Plus Premium’s most notable perks is its growing catalog of natively playable classic titles from the PS1, PS2, and PSP generations, as well as streaming-only games from the PS3 era. Additionally, PS Plus Premium classics offer convenient features like rewind, remappable controls, save states, increased resolution and framerate, video filters, and occasionally even brand-new trophy lists. Sony adds a handful ofclassics to PS Plus Premium every month, often with trophy support.
Alongside theFebruary 2025 PS Plus Extra and Premium additions, PSP rhythm gamePatapon 3and PS2 flight combat simulatorDropship: United Peace Forcerecently made their way into the service’s classics catalog, that too with good news for trophy hunters. Starting off withPatapon 3, the PSP classic offers a whopping40 trophies on PS4 and PS5, including a platinum. It’s worth noting thatPatapon 3’s co-op multiplayer functionality hasn’t made it into the PS Plus Premium release, but even then, the rhythm game’s trophies are hardly a walk in the park, as later levels can be highly skill-intensive.
There’s more good news for classic game fans, as Sony recently announced that thefirst threeArmored Coregames are headed to PS Plus Premiumsometime later this year. One can only hope that when these FromSoftware classics debut on PS Plus Premium, they come equipped with full trophy lists.
