Summary
No Man’s Skyhas released another hotfix update to address a few bugs that seemingly slipped through the last round of fixes. While it’s not an incredibly large update by any means, the recently releasedNo Man’s Skyversion 5.56 patch released on June 09, 2025, takes care of some crashes and other issues that have been persisting in the outer space exploration game.
No Man’s Skyreleased its first February updatejust a day ago, fixing 25 different bugs that affected large tools like the teleporter and Nautilon platform not functioning properly. It also resolved some more interesting bugs, like trader starships plummeting from the sky unexpectedly just after takeoff from gas giants, starships sounding like they were landing on water despite touching down on dry land, and holograms, underwater bases, and entire star systems in the galaxy map going completely invisible for some players.
This second February update isn’t nearly as large, but it will be particularly important forNo Man’s Skyplayers on PlayStationconsoles. According to the patch notes, some players who have been playing the PlayStation 4 version of the game on PlayStation 5 have been running into game-ending crashes, and the bug causing this issue is one of the five items that the version 5.56 patch fixes.
The patch also addresses some issues with features that were added in the bigNo Man’s SkyWorlds Part 2 updatethat was released at the end of January. One of the new features in Worlds Part 2 is the Titan Expedition, a gameplay mode that sees players starting out on one of the game’s new gas giant planets and exploring all of the new features included in the expansion. Although they weren’t addressed in the previous patch, three of the five new bug fixes are related to these Titan Expeditions. According to the patch notes, previously existing bugs had been causing Titan Expeditions to incorrectly identify and locate water worlds, had been incorrectly telling some players who hadn’t completed the mode that they had already received its Pillar of Titan reward, and sometimes halted players' mission progression after they built a floating Nautilon Chamber as instructed.
Hello Games has been regularly updating its space adventure game since its launch more than eight years ago.No Man’s Skywas the second-biggest PS4 launchat the time of its release in terms of sales figures. While many fans turned away quickly due to the original version’s bare-bones procedurally generated planets, the development team has worked consistently to continue piling on additional content through free updates.
