Obsidian May Pursue an Avowed Sequel After Strong Sales

The game has been in the works since 2018, so it’s good to see that Obsidian’s gamble on something fresh has seemingly paid off.
If Obsidian does choose to pursue expansions or a sequel toAvowed, it isn’t clear how long that would take to come to fruition. The studio remains committed to thedevelopment ofThe Outer Worlds 2, which is currently slated to launch later in 2025. It’s worth remembering that it did release expansions to the originalThe Outer Worlds, even as the development ofAvowedramped up a few years ago, so it’s certainly possible that the studio will work on both simultaneously.
