Summary

Scenarios and seasons are two common terms inOnce Humanthat might sound a bit confusing to newcomers. Simply put, the scenario determines the theme of the experience, and the season indicates the duration of the scenario.

Players can think of each scenario as a different campaign, some being PvE and some others being PvP. Each scenario comes with a different set of rules, activities, and even gameplay mechanics in some instances. Based on a scenario, players will have access to certain regions of the game’s world and will be required to complete a series of tasks within several phases. The collection of these phasesforms the seasonfor a scenario.

Since each scenario has a different duration, the season length will also be different from one scenario to another. Each phase within a season has a certain timeframe, indicated in real-life days. There are certain tasks for each phase that players must complete to make progress in the scenario. Some gameplay activities and events will only be available within certain phases of a scenario. So, it’s important to begin the game with a server that is preferably in the first few days of its season.

Manibus

Season Length Without Settlement Phase: 41 Days

Manibus is the best scenario for beginners and everyone who wants to have a chill adventure without worrying about hostile players. Excluding the settlement phase, one season of Manibus is divided into 5 phases, with players facing off against the final boss, Manibus, in Phase 5.

This scenario asks players to grind for resources and make progress in the available regions to get ready for the big final battle. Before beating Manibus, however, players will face a variety ofdifferent bossesin the game, which they can tackle either solo or with friends. Manibus also allows for co-op construction, which is great for those who are looking for a fun adventure within a squad.

All in-game events, even the PvP ones, can be accessed in Manibus as well if the server settings allow for it. So, make sure to check server rules before joining.

Evolution’s Call

Evolution’s Call allows forPvP fightsthrough a variety of activities. This scenario also features five phases, but instead of killing monsters and bosses, players will face off against each other in Stronghold Conquest missions.

Each player will need to join a Warband before they can participate in Stronghold Conquest. Once done, a Warband can either decide to attack an outpost and capture it while the other Warband defends it, or vice versa.

The scenario features some other PvP activities as well, but the winner of the season will be determined by the amount of points scored in Stronghold Conquest.

Prismverse’s Clash

Season Length Without Settlement Phase: 19 Days

A brief and action-packed experience for players who want chaotic PvP battles. Prismverse’s Clash is the shortest scenario in Once Human and it comes with a strict focus on PvP battles. Unlike Evolution’s Call, where players can only engage in PvP when entering the Chaos State, Prismverse’s Clash introduces PvP-specific regions that allow for better combat opportunities.

To compensate for the small brief season period and the chaotic nature of this scenario, players do not lose their backpack stuff after dying. This makes it less risky to engage in combat and encourages more players to enter the combat zones and fight other survivors.

The winning condition in Prismverse’s Clash is different from Evolution’s Call. In this scenario, players fight over Prism Deviations. They need to capture them from a variety of sources, and then turn them into Prism Energy. At the end of the season, factions will be ranked based on the amount of Prism Energy they have managed to produce. Raidingfaction basesis also a new combat option Prismverse’s Clash.

Way Of The Winter

Season Length Without Settlement Phase: 35 Days

An upgraded PvE experience with new gameplay mechanics and new regions. Way of the Winter is a significant evolution over Manibus set in the northern regions of Once Human. This scenario addstemperatureas a new survival parameter since the region features locations with extremely high or extremely low temperatures. So, players must gather resources and specific armor pieces to protect themselves against extreme weather conditions.

Aside from that, players need to keep their base warm by building certain structures. Thermal Tower is the unique structure type of this scenario that keeps a large proximity warm, useful for bases that have been placed in cold regions.

The final phase ofWay of the Winterincludes two major bosses from the cold and hot regions that players must defeat to complete the scenario with a victory.
