One Piecemade several announcements last year related to its previous and new projects. One of them was One Piece Base, an application that is wholly dedicated to the series. It was released in Japan in 2024, but there was no update regarding the English release.
Since then, fans outside Japan have been waiting to try the app for themselves. Thankfully, the wait is over as One Piece Base was released globally on Jul 27, 2025. The application debuted in the two stores with a special feature called One Piece Portrait Generator.
One Piece Base Allows Users To Generate Eiichiro Oda-style Wanted Posters
After taking/uploading a picture to the app, fans have to answer a few questions. Upon completing the steps,a Wanted Poster will be generated. The app will also assign the users different bounties, which are dependent on their answers.
Since One Piece Base was launched recently, they are giving away two Portrait Generator Conversion Tickets as a gift. The campaign will run until June 18, 2025, at 23:59 PST. After that, users will not be able to claim the gifts. It would be remiss to not mention that gifts must be claimed within 30 days.
One Piece Base can also be used to read the manga.Currently, it has 107 volumes, but only the first 12 can be accessed for free. In order to rent the other volumes, fans have to use rental tickets or the in-app currency. There are two types of rental tickets— green and red, both of which allow users to keep the volume for 72 hours or 3 days.
Using Berries & Tickets To Rent New Volumes
The General Rental Ticket is red and can be used to rent any volume. The Volume Rental Ticket is green and can only be used on a specific volume.
As previously stated, fans can utilize the in-app currency, berries, to rent volumes as well. Fans can go to the Shop section to see the prices for each pack. The shop also has conversion tickets for sale, and fans can buy as much as they want. Surprisingly, the shop doesn’t have any rental tickets. So, the only way to read a locked volume isby purchasing it with berries. However, it is completely possible that more free volumes will be added in the future.
Since the application was released today, it will take some time before more features are added. So fans should wait before making any major purchases. In the meantime, they can experiment with the portrait generator and try to get as high a bounty as possible.
