Oden was definitely one of the strongest pirates out there, who even discovered the truth of the One Piece world after his voyage with Gol D. Roger to Laugh Tale.

Oden died after being boiled alive and shot in the head when he returned to Wano, following his loss to Kaido that happened through deceit. His legacy, however, lives on in Momonosuke and Hiyori, his two children, but also inYamato, a self-proclaimed Kozuki Oden.
