Ifrit Jambe: Boeuf Burst Takes Full Advantage Of The Power-Up
For those unfamiliar with Sanji’s later attacks inOne Piece, the Ifrit Jambe is one of Sanji’s strongest techniques in the entire series. DuringOne Piece’sRaid on Onigashima, after rejecting the Raid Suit of his Germa lineage, Sanji learns to combine his genetically enhanced body with his previous techniques, allowing him to access a whole new tier of power. From here, Sanji can now access an upgraded version of his Diable Jambe, the Ifrit Jambe, burning extraordinarily hot blue flames that his body can now endure with the help of his Armament Haki and genetic tampering.

The first use of this ability came duringOne Piece’sRaid on Onigashima duringthe fight between Sanji and Queen. Here, since Sanji first debuted his Ifrit Jambe during this fight, the chef of the Straw Hat Crew also revealed an entirely new arsenal of powerful attacks to go with it. Mainly, he revealed his Ifrit Jambe: Boeuf Burst, which acted as the finisher of the fight.
For this attack, after Sanji kicks Queen in the head, disorienting him, Sanji jumps back before leaping forward. While heading towards his opponent, Sanji spirals in mid-air before using the momentum of his jump to deliver his iconicpowerful series of kicks inOne Piece, ending with the Ifrit Jambe: Boeuf Burst, right to the center of Queen’s body. This attack then erupts in blue flames, completely decimating the All-Star of the Beast Pirates. After the attack finishes, it launches Queen far away, sending him off of Onigashima.

It’s interesting to note the origin of the name for Sanji’s Ifrit Jambe: Boeuf Burst, which invokes another cooking term, like many of his other attacks, which is fitting forOne Piece’sStraw Hat chef. “Boeuf” is the French term for beef, while the burst part of the name may be in reference to the juices that are extracted from searing beef. This name is especially fitting since it references the sheer intensity of the heat that comes from Sanji’s powerful kick.
