The remaster ofOnimusha 2: Samurai’s Destinyhas been confirmed to hit the stores on Jun 26, 2025, for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch players. At the recently concluded PlayStation State of Play, Capcom revealed a new trailer for the remaster ofOnimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, sharing new glimpses of the hack-and-slash title as well as its May 23 release date. The action-packed video showed protagonist, Jubei Yagyu, defeating various adversaries, from samurais to supernatural warriors. Moreover, it put the spotlight on the game’s sword-fighting aspect and its fantasy-based combat. Certain key characters in theOnimusha 2remaster, such as Oyu, Ekei Ankokuji, Magoichi Saiga, Kotaro Fuma, and the main antagonist Oda Nobunaga, also make an appearance in the three-minute-long clip.

Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny Pre-Order Bonus Revealed

On the same day as the release date announcement, pre-orders of theforthcomingOnimushagamealso went live across platforms, offering Onimusha 2: Orchestra Album Selection Pack as the digital bonus content for early buyers. This pack includes the following tracks produced byOnimusha 2composer Taro Iwashiro: “Truth Of Brave (Warring Mix),” “Truth Of Resolution (Oyu’s theme),” “Truth Of Edge (Magoichi’s theme),” “Truth Of Loyalty (Ekei’s Theme),” and “Truth Of Desire (Kotaro’s theme).”

Apart from theOnimusha 2remaster, fans ofCapcom’s action-adventure series have another major releasescheduled to arrive in the future. After 20 years, a new mainline entry, titledOnimusha: Way of the Sword, is set to succeed 2006’sOnimusha: Dawn of Dreams, with a much-awaited release taking place in 2026. At the same time, Capcom has a few different major projects in development, such as theOkamisequel revealed in December 2024. In the more immediate future, the Japanese gaming giant is set to shipMonster Hunter Wildson June 29, 2025, across PC and current-gen consoles.
