Summary

Every new major content update forOverwatch 2is bound to come with some bugs, but a glitch that causes the cape of Doomfist’s Saitama skin to change colors based on weapon variants is one that many fans hope doesn’t get fixed. The latest season forOverwatch 2recently went live and has enjoyed a notably smooth initial launch considering the huge amount of new content that it’s packed with.

Perhaps the biggest feature that comes withSeason 15 ofOverwatch 2is the brand-new perk system, a mechanic that fans have been waiting to see for years. These new perks are game-changing in every sense, and allow players to upgrade their abilities in various ways as they progress through a match. Each hero inOverwatch 2has four unique perks in total, and though the season is still extremely young, this new mechanic has been exceptionally well-received by fans so far. Along with a new battle pass, Mythic Zenyatta skin, and even the return of cosmetic loot boxes that can be earned by players for free by completing challenges, there’s plenty for fans to get into.

In addition, competitive players can now redeem their Competitive Points to unlock the newGalactic weapon variants for their favoriteOverwatch 2heroes. Oddly enough, players have also quickly discovered a new bug that causes any such weapon cosmetic to apply to the cape of Doomfist’s Saitama skin, allowing Doomfist mains to don a gold, jade, or Galactic-colored cape. This was recently highlighted in a Reddit post shared by the player TurtleDasher, who included some images that show what Doomfist’s cape looks like with each weapon variant equipped.

Overwatch 2 Fans Want This Particular Bug to Stay

It’s definitely a strange thing to see, but not nearly theweirdest glitch that players have encountered inOverwatch 2. It’s normal for most seasons to launch with some issues, usually minor ones that impact specific hero abilities or cause characters to A-pose by breaking emote animations. Thankfully, Blizzard has developed a track record for pushing out quick fixes following the release of a new season, so any concerning technical issues that players may currently be facing aren’t likely to stick around for long.

Similarly, it’s quite likely that Blizzard will look into fine-tuning some of the hero perk effects now that the feature is out in the wild. Asfans continue to play and experiment withOverwatch 2’s new hero perks, it’s likely that they’ll find some exploits and unintended interactions along the way, as tends to be the way of things.
