Continuing this trend, the New Zealand-based company has recently announced a newPath of Exileevent called Legacy of Phrecia. The seasonal content drop will replace all the 19Path of ExileAscendancy classeswith new ones. Grinding Gear Games says that Legacy of Phrecia is a result of unadulterated experimentation, with many of its design team’s “wildest ideas” making their way into the upcoming event.

During Legacy of Phrecia, the Duelist’s Slayer, Gladiator, and Champion Ascendancies will be replaced by the Gambler, Paladin, and Aristocrat, while the Shadow’s Assassin, Saboteur, and Trickster subclasses will give way to the Surfcaster, Servant of Arakaali, and Blind Prophet. Likewise, Marauders will be able to choose between Antiquarian, Behemoth, and Ancestral Commander, while the list of limited-time Witch Ascendancies will include Harbinger, Herald, and Bog Shaman. Rangers will get Daughter of Oshabi, Whisperer, and Wildspeaker specializations, and Templars will have a choice between Architect of Chaos, Polytheist, and Puppeteer. Finally, Scion’s Ascendant subclass will be replaced by Scavenger.

Path of Exile: Legacy of Phrecia Starts on February 20

Grinding Gear Games has already provided a detailed overview of the new subclasses' skill trees, sparking fan speculation about how the upcoming event will impact thePath of Exileclass tier list. Legacy of Phrecia will kick off at 12pm PT on February 20, and will run until 1pm PT on March 23. The upcoming event will be available on both PC and consoles.

During the first week of the Legacy of Phrecia, which is based onPath of Exile’s Settlers of Kalguur expansion, players will be able to claim a Twitch drop in the form of the Havenwood Cloak. The cape was designed to fit the Autumn Knight Armor Set, the event’s main reward. A new Autumn Knight armor piece will be awarded every 20 levels, up to character level 80. Due to the way the event was designed, players will need to create a new character to participate in it. Those wanting to experiment will be able to change Ascendancy classes at any point during Legacy of Phrecia.
