Having three banners available in the same version inWuthering Wavescan be challenging for players, especially the F2P ones. Phoebe, Brant, and Changli are all excellent characters who compete at the highest levels of the game’s meta.
Although Phoebe and Brant are new characters, Changli ishaving her rerun banner inWuthering Waves. Funny enough, all three can form a solid team together, with Phoebe as the main DPS, Changli as a Sub-DPS, and Brant operating as their healer. But when it comes to players wonderingif it’s worth pulling for Phoebe, Brant, or Changli, here’s a comparison of the three.
Phoebe
Phoebe is a main DPS who can alter her gameplay to operate as a Sub-DPS and apply tons of Spectro Frazzle. As a main DPS, Phoebe enters her Absolution state and can work with any team, since all she needs is some decent buffers and the Spectro Rover to build Spectro Frazzles on enemies. Meanwhile, her Confession state focuses more on building Spectro Frazzle, so her teammates should be those who can take advantage of it. So far, only Spectro Rover can work with this elemental debuff, so it’sbest to keep Phoebe as a main DPSwho focuses on her Absolution state.
Since Phoebe can only operate as a main DPS, it’s essential to build her with as much Crit as possible, in addition to ATK% and Spectro DMG. She’s also a Rectifier user, which makes finding a decent Crit 5-star weapon even harder. Thankfully, she’s strong enough to go againsttop-tier units inWuthering Waveseven on F2P setups. As for her Echo set, Phoebe’s build is straightforward and only requires the Eternal Radiance set with Nightmare Mourning Aix being her main Echo.
Pull for Phoebe if:
Brant
Brant is a decent DMG dealer who excels as ahealer inWuthering Waves. His ability to buff Fusion DMG alongside Resonance Skill DMG through his Outro Skillmakes him an ideal Support for Changli. He can even complement her playstyle by offering a variety of situations where you can quick-swap between the two.
So,if you already have Changli, Brant is a must-pull to increase both characters’ performance. Brant can still pair with other characters, but can’t at all have the synergy he has withChangli inWuthering Waves.
Brant heavily relies on his Energy Regen stat to do everything in his kit, from healing to dealing DMG. This is exceptionally good for a character like him, since he’ll be able to cast his Resonance Liberation more often. Not only that, but Energy Regen is mostly available on 4-star weapons, which makes him very F2P-friendly. Additionally, Brant can work with Rejuvenating Glow, Moonlit Clouds, and Tidebreaking Courage, giving you many options and an easier time building him.
On the other hand, if you want him to deal DMG after he casts his Resonance Liberation, then you need to invest more time finding him a decent set with good Echoes that have a large Crit value.

Changli
Changli is a Sub-DPS who shines inquick-swapping teams inWuthering Waves. From her Outro Skill, she is best paired with other Fusion characters who are able to take advantage of her large DMG buff. Currently, only Encore is viable to make use of this, but both Encore and Changli are tricky to play, making it difficult to master.
Like any otherDPS inWuthering Waves, Changli needs Crit value, ATK, and Fusion DMG in her build in order to dominate the battlefield. This means Changli needs 5-star weapons and heavy farming for Echoes to find the right main and Sub-stats. you may still play Changli without much investment, and she’ll do good, but not as well when she’s ready with all the shiny Crits and buffs.
