A talentedPokemonfan has recently designed a baby form for Lickitung, coming up with an adorable result. Baby forms were originally introduced in the second generation ofPokemongames with creatures such as Pichu, Togepi, and Cleffa inPokemon Gold and Silver, and they have been fairly popular with fan artists since then.
Lickitung is a Normal-type creature introduced inPokemon’s first generation. This critter was generally very difficult to get, as players would need to trade a Slowbro on Route 18 to get it inPokemon Red and Blue, or capture it in the endgame’s Cerulean Cave inPokemon Yellow. During Gen 4, Lickitung gained an official evolution, Lickilicky, which can be obtained by evolving a Lickitung while the monster knows the Rollout move. However, despite gaining an official evolution late on, Lickitung never received a baby form.
Now, onePokemonfan artist called qobrosii decided to share a baby form of Lickitung with the community. Called Lickle, this pre-evolution is a cute light pink Pokemon with an enormous tongue that resembles Lickitung as a baby with a big toupee and a tiny tail. The community loved qobrosii’s artwork, giving over 5,200 upvotes to the creator. In the post’s comments, some fans praised the design, saying it looked like an official one and that it was a missed opportunity for Nintendo and Game Freak not to add this creature together with Lickilicky during Gen 4.
Pokemon Fan’s Adorable Baby Lickitung
This design is just one of many cool baby forms shared with thePokemoncommunity recently. Some time ago, for example, onefan created a baby form of Tropius. Called Platiny, this new critter had an extremely creative design, looking like a small green dinosaur with a yellow banana peel on top of its head.
Another example of extremely well-made baby forms was shared by another fan some months ago. In a beautiful artwork, afan designed baby forms for three Legendary Pokemon of Johto: Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Suicune, and they looked happy and adorable.
A fourth artwork that stands out due to its quality was thebaby form for Smeargleshared by one fan last year. In this unique design, Smeargle was reimagined as Linearf, a puppy-like creature with brown fur, a cute face, and a small tail with ink on its tip. Hopefully, other talented artists will continue to create baby forms for popular Pokemon, sharing the results of their work with others.
