Summary

A creativePokemonfan has recently shared an amazing cosplay of Mimikyu with the community. While cosplaying creatures from thePokemonfranchise is often not very easy due to their unique monster-shaped bodies, cosplayers often come up with unique ideas for their costumes, recreating these critters in interesting ways.

Mimikyu is a Ghost/Fairy creature originally introduced inthe seventh generation ofPokemongames. What makes Mimikyu stand out among other critters in the same Gen and helped it to become so popular over time is that it looks like a small creature trying to hide inside a badly made Pikachu costume. Fortunately, this concept makes it the perfect pick for cosplay. In the games, Mimikyu does not evolve into any other creature, but it has two forms: the Disguised Form, and the Busted Form, which appears after it has been attacked.

Now, a cosplayer called Mystic620 has shared their Mimikyu cosplay, which they originally devised for Halloween but only decided to show off a few months later. In the three pictures posted by the cosplayer, it’s possible to see them wearing a yellow hood with a head that resembles a Mimikyu, a small black skirt, purple hair, and a Shy Guy mask. The cosplay was a big hit with the community, obtaining over 1,100 upvotes and being complimented by other fans, who described the work as adorable and generally liked the idea of using a Shy Guy mask fromSuper Mario Brosas part of the costume.

Pokemon Fan’s Amazing Mimikyu Cosplay

While cosplays are not as common as fan art in thePokemonfranchise, there are several examples of fans sharing incredible costumes with the community. Last year, for example, onePokemonfan went to a convention wearing Magikarp and Gyarados costumes. In these, the fan wore bright tracksuits, matching gloves, and masks resembling the two Gen 1 monsters.

Anotherfan created a Sirfetch’d cosplay, which looked incredible. In this artwork, the fan wore white clothes, yellow boots, and a helmet resembling the creature’s duck head while wielding its weapons in the pictures.

Finally, a fourth fan decided to create acosplay mixingPokemonwithThe Mandalorian. The fan wore the Mandalorian’s helmet and clothes matching the character’s outfit, but instead of carrying the normal, green Baby Yoda, the creator devised a yellow figure inspired by both Yoda and Pikachu. Hopefully, other fans will keep coming up with incredible cosplays to celebrate thePokemonfranchise and share them with the community.
