Niantic hosts monthlyPokemon GOCommunity Day eventsto give players more opportunities to catch new Pokemon, level up their Pokemon Trainer, and possibly encounter Shiny Pokemon. Evolving the featured Pokemon in a limited-time window grants an exclusive move that can prove to be useful in Trainer Battles, Gyms and Raids. Community Day event bonuses also include boosted Candy and Candy XL drops, along with the opportunity to catch Smeargle with the snapshot feature. With less than a month remaining inPokemon GODual Destiny, Niantic revealed what players can expect in the next season.

The next five Community Day events will be held throughout March, April, and May this year inPokemon GO, starting with the March 8 Community Day event. The season’s first Community Day Classic event will begin on Saturday, March 22, followed by April’s sole Community Day event on Sunday, April 27. Niantic will host Community Day and Community Day Classic events on Sunday, May 11, and Saturday, May 24, respectively. The Pokemon that will be featured for each Community Day event were not revealed yet, butPokemon GO’sCommunity Day Classic eventsusually feature Pokemon from past events.

Niantic Reveals Next Five Pokemon GO Community Day Dates

The season’s first Max Battle Weekend will also coincide with the March 8 Community Day event. Several other events will be held from March through May, including Catch Mastery on March 16, several Raid Day events, and the return of Shadow Raid Day on May 17. More details aboutPokemon GO’snext season are expected to arrive before March 4, so players will likely know more about what some of the new events entail in the coming weeks. Niantic teases that morenewPokemon GOeventswill be announced as well.

Along with the aforementioned event bonuses,Pokemon GOCommunity Day eventstypically offer Field Research talks and other opportunities to earn more rewards, including paid Special Research. Additional rewards are up for grabs by spinning PokeStops and participating PokeStop Showcases during the event. Before Community Day arrives, Pokemon GO players can prepare for the next season by participating inPokemon GOTour: Unova, which will be held in Los Angeles and New Taipei City from February 21 to February 23. The global Unova event will follow up on March 1 and 2 as the season comes to a close.
