There are a total of 15 Legendary Fish inRed Dead Redemption 2that can be added to the Compendium progress, but only 13 of them are catchable outside of specific side missions. As such, we have made Arthur Morgan the ultimate fisherman to obtain every Legendary Fish inRed Dead Redemption 2to provide their locations, what Special Lure is needed, and effective strategies on how to catch them.

All 15 Legendary Fish inRed Dead Redemption 2can be found below, so players are going to want to grab some bait, and their fishing rod, and enjoy the relaxingvibes of the many statesthey will cross as they dare to become a greater fisherman than Jeremy Gill himself.

15Legendary Bluegill

A Bluegill Around 19 Inches in Length

The Bluegill is gigantic in size when compared to other simpler and more common variants of the fish, and players can find this one with the Special Lake Lure once they start to fish in Flat Iron Lake just West of Rhodes and Braithwaite Manor. It’s not a complex fish to find, and it doesn’t fight too much when it’sbeen reeled in.

14Legendary Chain Pickerel

A Rather Large River-Dwelling Pickerel

The Legendary Chain Pickerel weighs around 9 pounds and is around 19 inches long, providing Arthur with a truly beautiful bounty. Arthur can find this fish with the Special River Lure once he heads to the Dakota River justnear Flatneck Station and Horseshoe Overlook, where the running waters will have this mighty catch waiting.

A Large Catfish Lurking in the Penitentiary Waters

Taking a boat out from the swamps of Lemoyne and heading East of Saint Denis will see Arthur infiltrate the murky swamp area surrounding the Sisika Penitentiary. Players won’t want to get too close, as this is a restricted area, but the outside areas to the West are safe to fish, where players can find the Legendary Bullhead Catfish with the Special Swamp Lure.

12Legendary Redfin Pickerel

The Gentle Pickerel of Stillwater Creek

As players enter into New Austin, past Blackwater, they can head to the small Stillwater Creek in search of the Redfin Pickerel, noted by, obviously, its red fins. This is a relatively small fish that doesn’t put up much of a fight, but the true difficulty here lies in the fact that players need to be in the Epilogue to start their fishing hunt since the invisible New Austin sniper willinstantly kill Arthurif he dares to cross past Blackwater.

11Legendary Rock Bass

The Legendary Rock Bass has shimmering haunting eyes that are not worth looking into once players catch it, as this catch is ripe for Jeremy Gill’s collection thanks to its size and rare eyes. The Legendary Rock Bass is found in Aurora Basin, a lovely fishing spot for players if they can survive the invisible sniper that will pick Arthur off – so again, this is a Legendary Fish best reserved for the Epilogue.

10Legendary Largemouth Bass

The Gigantic Largemouth Bass of the San Luis River

The Legendary Largemouth Bass will put up quite the fight due to its absurdly large size, even as a Largemouth Bass. Unfortunately for most, this is going to be a hard catch considering it’s so far West in New Austin, and heading here asArthur is practically a death sentencefrom the invisible sniper and the bounty hunters – so maybe leave this fish for the Epilogue.

9Legendary Smallmouth Bass

The River Legend of Owanjila

Another giant fish that weighs over 20 pounds and comes in at over 50 inches long, the Legendary Smallmouth Bass is anything but small, so fishermen who get lucky andcatch this beautywith a Special Lake Lure will most likely want to keep it stowed on their horse to show off their mighty catch that lurks in the beautiful waters of Owanjila.

8Legendary Perch

A Grotesque Mutated Fish of Elysian Pool

The Elysian Pool can be a beautiful spot, but the polluted waters near Butcher Creek make this wonderful spot desolate and filled with disfigured and rotted fish, which is exactly what the Legendary Perch is once players catch it and note its haunting eyes and rotting scales, all made possible thanks to the Special Lake Lure.

7Legendary Lake Sturgeon

A Lengthy and Sharp Sturgeon Awaiting Capture

Saint Denis might be a polluted city that makes Dutch Van der Linde sick with civilization, but it’s also the nearby home of the Legendary Lake Sturgeon, which players can fish for by the railroad tracks. Whether it’s on the tracks or by the separated islands accessible by a canoe, the Legendary Lake Sturgeon puts up a decent fight due to its giant size and makes a grand impression with its sharp spine.

A Tropical Blue Fish Near Willard’s Rest

The Legendary Steelhead Trout is a beautiful monster with an incredible weight and size to it that catching such a thing will prove the amazing potential Arthur Morgan has as a fisherman. The Steelhead Trout has elegant blue scales, and the fishing spot alone is surrounded by a beautiful waterfall that makes catching this such a treat – just be careful of Murfree Brood in the area.
