While Guarma has plenty of animals to be studied and skinned, only 9 of them are exclusive to the island in Chapter 5, and other animals can be found in the normalRed Dead Redemption 2map. However, it’s worth knowing all Guarma animals and where to hunt them so that players can fill out their Compendium, even if the Guarma animals are not needed for the Zoologist achievement.

Every Guarma animal inRed Dead Redemption 2has been listed below so that players can find the missing creatures that they need for their Compendium and journal before they move on back home to Saint Denis in Chapter 5.

11Red-Footed Booby

A Carnivorous Bird That Takes to the Skies

The Red-Footed Booby rarely comes down for a rest along the rocks and nests available in Guarma, and it will instead mainly roam the skies. Now that players have a Level 4 version of Dead Eye, it’s a good idea to constantly look up and aim high and use Dead Eye totry and shootone of these birds down.

The Red-Footed Booby is extremely common in the sky and will be one of the main birds flying overhead, so this is a bird that players just need to be patient with as they wait for an opportunity to shoot it and follow the carcass down.

10Green Turtle

The Illustrious and Rare Turtle Seen Only at Sea

The Green Turtle is a rarity that players do not actually need to find in any case, since it doesn’t even have a Compendium entry, but players can still study it either way. The Green Turtle, like all Guarma animals, does not count for the Zoologist trophy, but those who want it just to claim Arthur’s drawing in his journal, can do so.

The Green Turtle is a rare spawn that will have players make a sprint to the North beach past Arroyo De La Vibora, past the shacks, and while avoiding theinvisible Guarma sniperif spotted in the red zones. Players need to run to the beach and aim their weapons at the sea in search of a Green Turtle to study but be warned, this might take a few tries of saving and reloading.

The Green Turtle does not have a Compendium entry, and it cannot be skinned, but studying it does see Arthur draw it in his journal.

9Blue and Yellow Macaw

A Majestic Bird Noted for Its Yellow Wings

Noted for the tropical yellow wings that easily take flight the moment it hears a foreign noise, the Blue and Yellow Macaw can be an easy hunt due to how often it will land on rocks around Arroyo De La Vibora, but it will still take to the skies at thefirst sign of trouble.

This is a Guarma animal that players will want for their collection thanks to its colorful feather pattern of blues and yellows that make it an oddity across the various animals Arthur would have studied at this point.

8Great Green Macaw

An Exotic Bird with Green Talons

From a distance, the Great Green Macaw can be seen as somewhat similar to its Macaw brother, the Blue and Yellow Macaw, due to their similar feather patterns. However, getting closer to this bird will have players realize its majestic blue and green feathers, making it worth thehunt for Arthur’s collection.

The Great Green Macaw joins the other Macaws in being easily found across Arroyo De La Vibora, and players will want to add this to their collection in Chapter 5 so that they can explore everything they need on the island.

7Scarlet Macaw

A Striking Red Bird That Soars in Guarma

Another extremely common bird found in Guarma, the Scarlet Macaw is impossible to miss due to its elegant red feathers thatstand outagainst the other animals and birds of Guarma, and players will easily find this one resting by the waterfalls in the East of Arroyo De La Vibora.

This bird is also found in the skies or resting on rocks by the flowing river, providing plenty of opportunities for this bird to come down and become Arthur’s newest prey in order for him to study and loot it.

6Red Boa Snake

A Boa Snake With Hardly Any Notable Color

There isn’t much red to the Red Boa Snake, nor is there much size. The Red Boa Snake is fairly small, and its light green colors and brown pattern make it an intense hunt for how it camouflages so easily within the nature of its habitat since it can hide in the mud and the grass of its roaming area.

The Red Boa Snake is all about perseverance and luck, since it has the same roaming pattern as the other snakes needed for the hunt, so players just need to be patient in their search. It’s always worth roaming the dark forest areas of Arroyo De La Vibora in search of these ground-based animals.

5Rainbow Boa Snake

Divine Scales Worth Hunting For

The Rainbow Boa Snake is the most obvious of the snakes that are native to Guarma thanks to its red scales, making it as clear as day when spotted due to how it stands out against the shrubbery that it hides within. This snake isn’t overly aggressive, although it does have a bite, so be careful where you step.

The Rainbow Boa Snake is found along the same area as the other snakes, so players are going to want to get low and check the ground for these slithering serpents, and make use of the aim assist option by aiming at the ground repeatedly to try and track one is a decent enough idea.

4Sunglow Boa Snake

A Scaley Serpent With a Dull Skin

Another carnivorous snake, the Sunglow Boa Snake is noted for its dull scales that blend in with the dirt and rocks that it slithers across in hunt of its prey. Due to its harsh scales and the fact that it lurks within the tall grass just off the beaten path of Arroyo De La Vibora, the Sunglow Boa Snake might be hard to find.

Like all other snakes who roam this area, players should continue to use Eagle Eye to try and track this cold-blooded creature down, butfailing to do so, they should save and reload for a better chance of finding this oddity in the wild.

The Green Iguana, Fer-De-Lance Snake, and Cuban Land Crab can be found outside of Guarma, but they have been listed below because of how easy they are to find in Guarma.

3Fer-De-Lance Snake

An Extremely Dangerous and Long Snake to Hunt

The Fer-De-Lance Snake is also not exclusive to Guarma, as it can be found in Stillwater Creek near Thieves Landing, but those who want this animal for their Compendium now can do so by searching the jungle areas of Arroyo De La Vibora and avoiding the central beach and rivers where this snake will refuse to roam.

While the Fer-De-Lance Snake is a tad hidden due to its camouflaging scales, it’s fairly lengthy, and it is rather easily irritated which leads to natural aggression. Players who want to hunt it will want to be aware of its aggression, as this snake is venomous, and can impact cores forthose who aren’t careful.

2Green Iguana

The Extremely Common and Skittish Lizard

The Green Iguana can be found on the mainland outside of Guarma, but because the animal is so very common on the island, it’s worth studying, tracking, and skinning one here. The Green Iguana is a skittish herbivore that will dwell on the sands, often sunbathing on rocks or remaining rather still under the shade of trees.

The Green Iguana can be found practically anywhere in Guarma, so players just need to roam around until one pops its green head up so thatArthur can blow it off with a revolver. They’re fairly small and can run pretty fast once they are startled.
