Roman Bridger Will Have Small Role In Scream 7

While some fans have been confused about just howRoman would fit into the plot, Foley recently paid a visit toLIVE with Kelly and Markand explained that he talked to Scream 7 director Kevin Williamson about just how he will fit into the larger plot.

“I had just had a conversation with Kevin Williamson who’s directing — wrote the first few Screams, is directing this one. And he wanted me to come back and play a small part. And I was so excited to sort of revisit this character even though he died in the first one.”

Foley seems to be talkingabout dying in his first appearance in the Scream franchise, since he played Roman in the third entry in the franchise. It’s also an interesting turn of phrase that Foleys aid he was going to “sort of” revisit the character. It’s possible that was just a turn of phrase he used, or it could be that Roman isn’t coming back so much as he’s going to be a flashback or even hallucination of one of the characters.

Matthew Lillard has also confirmedthat he’ll appear in Scream 7 even though his character, Stu Macher was absolutely killed “in the first one” as he was one of the original Ghostfaces alongside high school best friend Billy Loomis. It’s possible that both Stu and Roman will come back the same way thatLoomis was brought back inScream 5, as a piece of psychosis that Melissa Barrera’s character Sam was suffering from after she found out that she was the love child of the serial killer. The idea that Foley has a small role would seem to indicate popping up once or twice, rather than being anywhere near central to the plot ofScream 7.
