Black Ops 6 May Bring Back Specialist Scorestreaks

According toCall of Dutyleaker HeyImAlaix, Treyarch Studios is planning on bringing back Specialist Scorestreaks toBlack Ops 6. Shortly after the Season 2 Reloaded update was released, the leaker discovered that Specialist Scorestreaks had been added to the game’s files but are not currently active in-game. In anew poston Twitter, Alaix posted a description from a file that read, “Perkstreaks - Earn perks for kill streaking instead of scorestreaks.” While it might have a different name inBlack Ops 6, this is exactly howSpecialist worked in 2019’sModern Warfarereboot. The feature didn’t make a return for the following two installments, but it looks like it could be arriving in a future season ofBlack Ops 6.

It is worth noting that plans can always change behind the scenes, so just because Specialist has made an appearance in the game’s files doesn’t necessarily mean it will ever see the light of day, although it does seem increasingly likely. This also isn’t the only new thing to be leaked from the Season 2 Reloaded files, as the fan-favorite Battle Royale mapVerdansk has been added toWarzone’s files, revealing new details on the returning map. According to data miners, Verdansk’s return will also feature Resurgence, which is a popular game mode that allows players to respawn as long as their teammates are still alive. There’s no confirmed release date for Verdansk aside from a Spring 2025 release window, but a Season 3 launch in March looks all but confirmed.

Season 3 might not just feature the return of Verdansk either, as another leak indicates that one ofModern Warfare’s most controversial operators could be coming toBlack Ops 6. In-game files have once again revealed that Hudson, Mace, and Roze are all set to return. While Hudson is an existing character in theBlack Opsuniverse, Mace and Roze are not. However, the real kicker is that Roze is undoubtedly the most controversial operator inCall of Dutyhistory due to one of her skins causing serious visibility issues at launch. Whether or not this blacked-out Roze skin will be returning along with the operator is yet to be known, but there’s no denying that Season 3 is shaping up to beCall of Duty’s most interesting season to date.
