Sharp Fang Location in Monster Hunter Wilds

Gajios & Talioth

Sharp Fangs can be harvested from the carcasses of two small monsters:Gajios and Talioth. Both of those monsters can be found in theWindward Plains, the firstecosystem inMonster Hunter Wilds, andArea 8seems to be the best place to target. Indeed, both Gajios, a crocodile-like monster, and Talioth, a velociraptor-like monster, can be found in and around the water in Area 8, and that area has been marked on the preceding map.

Players may be able to use the Filter Icons feature to pinpoint the precise positions of Gajios and Talioth. To access that feature, players should open the map, select “Filter Icons” in the bottom-left corner of the screen, and set the filter to “Small Monsters.” Players may then be able to select Gajios or Talioth, which will allow them to drop a waypoint directly on the monster.

Upon locating a Gajios or Talioth, players should simply pull out their favoriteweapon inMonster Hunter Wildsand dispatch the small monster. Players should then approach the carcass and press the input that appears to extract the monster’s material.

To note, while a Gajios carcass will always yield a Sharp Fang when harvested, that is not the case with Talioth carcass. This makes Gajios a more consistent target for farming Sharp Fangs, though they may appear in smaller numbers than Talioth. As such,Monster Hunterplayersshould not miss out on opportunities to slay Talioth when they appear, even though the monster may not always award the material that is of interest.

Crafting with Sharp Fangs in Monster Hunter Wilds

As previously noted, one Sharp Fang is used in the crafting of theChatacabraCoil, waistgear that provides one level of the Speed Eating Equipment Skill and contributes towards activating the Flexible Leathercraft Group Skill. That is not the only item that requires Sharp Fangs, though, as one is also used to make the Talioth Vambraces, armguards that provide the Leap of Faith Skill. Regardless of exactly what players want to do with their Sharp Fangs, they should visit Gemma, the Smithy, at a Base Camp once they have some in hand.
