Shinichiro Watanabe is one of the most famous anime directors of all time. He is best known for directingCowboy Bebopand Samurai Champloo. Back in 2023, Shinichiro Watanabe announced that he is working on a new project called Lazarus. The anime was supposed to be released in 2024 but had to be delayed to 2025.

Shinichiro Watanabe Teams Up With John Wick Director
After going through the trailer, it is safe to say that Shinichiro Watanabe has worked his magic again, and Lazarus will end up being one of the best anime of the year. The action scenes in the animewere overseen by Chad Stahelski, the creator of John Wick.
He revealed that Watanabe’s films served as an inspiration, which is why he was more than happy to work with him on Lazarus. The music for the anime is being composed by Kamasi Washington, Bonobo, and Floating Points. If the quality of staff working on the project is anything to go by, then Lazarus will be a certified hit.
Lazarus' Voice Cast Has Been Confirmed
Lazarus has already announcedthe voice cast for the anime, and it is as follows:
Lazarus is set in the distant future when a doctor’s actions put humanity in danger. The doctor, Skinner, created a magical drug and made it publicly available. A few years later, Dr. Skinner reveals that the drug kills everyone in 3½ years. To handle this global crisis, a team of elite fighters is formed to find Dr. Skinner and a cure.
Lazarus has action as well as drama, so the episodes will not be boring. Each episode will have good pacing, so it won’t feel dragged out either.
