Solo Levelinghas made it clear that Jin-Woo is on his path to becoming the strongest hunter in the world. His current easily surpasses other S-Rank Hunters, placing him above every other South Korean Hunter. But, the arrival of strong Japanese Hunters makes us wonder, how strong are Korean Hunters internationally?
The highly anticipated Jeju Island Raid is right on the corner; Korean and Japanese Hunters have joined forces to eliminate the common foe. Japan’s strongest guild has offered to send numerous S-Rank Hunters to the raid, including the formidable Goto Ryuji. Where do Jin-Woo and others stand in the powerful world ofSolo Leveling?
How Strong are South Korean Hunters?
South Korea is definitely a strong nation with incredibly powerful S-Rank hunters like Go Gun-Hee, Sung Il-Hwan, and Choi Jong-In. While the remainder of their hunters also possess impressive strength, they fall short when compared to other nations. Before the Jeju Island Raid, Hunters from South Korea and Japan competed in numerous practice battles. Most of them ended in the favor of Japanese Hunters.
While this is true, South Korea is still an extremely powerful nation globally because of Jin-Woo. Jin-Woo’s power alone puts the nation levels above any other. His guild is considered the strongest in the world, and he also has millions of shadow warriors ready at his disposal.
Other Countries That Are Extremely Strong
Japan
Japan stood as one of the strongest nations due to the Draw Sword Guild. The guild had 11 S-Rank Hunters, which made them extremely promising. But during the Jeju Island Raid, the guild sent 10 of their best Hunters, including their leader, Goto Ryuji. The guild lost most of its sent members and their S-Rank count was reduced to 4. Later, the appearance of a S-Rank Gatein Tokyo further impacted the country’s forces. They had to rely on other nations to fight off these monsters. Though Japan was once one of the strongest nations in Asia, its power was greatly reduced by the combined losses.
S-Rank
China
China is, unsurprisingly, one of the strongest nations in the Manhwa. The country is led by Liu Zhigang, who alone outweighs China’s combined strength. He is one of the five National Level Hunters. Unlike other countries, China followsa different ranking system. They grade their hunters from Grades 1-5. Liu is so incredibly strong that he is rated 7. Considering China’s large population, it wouldn’t be surprising if the nation had numerous other S-Rank hunters.
S-Rank (7 Star), #2 Ranked Hunter
USA
Before Jin-Woo’s appearance, the USA was definitely the strongest nation in the entire world. Their strength is evident from their worldwide influence. The USA is the home totwo of the strongest Hunters in the series, Thomas Andre and Christopher Reed. Both are members of the reputed National Level Hunters, Thomas even being ranked #1 in the entire world. The Manhwa claims that the USA has more S-Rank Hunters than any other country in the world. Their influence is so strong that Hunters from other countries like Hwang Dong-Soo joined them.
Sung Jin-Woo Changes The Balance Completely
Strong Hunters like Liu and Thomas surely boost their nation’s power immensely. But Jin-Woo takes this to another level. He not onlycreated the strongest guild in the world, but his personal strength is beyond comparable. He is so powerful that comparing him to other humans seems wrong. His power matches that of the Monarchs and Rulers.
Seasoned Hunters like Jong-In and Liu acknowledged his power publicly, while hunters like Dong-Soo and Thomas who challenged him were bitterly defeated. Jin-Woo is so powerful that he does not hesitate to fight the world to protect his family.
“I’m going to protect my family,
Even if it means turning all the hunters in the world against me.”
