Solo LevelingSeason 2 Episode 9 was unquestionably the most emotional one released so far. The highlight of the episode was Sung Jinwoo’s reunion with his mother. After spending years helplessly staring at her, Sung Jinwoo could finally interact with her. The episode proved that Solo Leveling doesn’t solely focus on action.
With the Jeju Island raid coming up, one would expect Sung Jinwoo to join the group. Solo Leveling shared preview images for the upcoming episode. One of the pictures is of Goto Ryuji, the top Hunter from Japan. The next image is of Sung Jinwoo. It looks rather obvious that the two Hunters are having a friendly battle, and, as expected, Sung Jinwoo’s prowess impresses the onlookers.
Sung Jinwoo’s Decision Shocks Everyone
After seeing the protagonist’s prowess, the top brass would want him to join the group for the raid on Jeju Island. However, Sung Jinwoo turns down their request as he wants to focus on her mother’s recovery, which is completely understandable. Some find it questionable that a Hunter of his caliber refused to go on the raid, but fans must understand that he went through hell to rescue his mother.
According to the episode synopsis,Sung Jinwoo doesn’t go to Jeju Island. So, the rest of the Hunters go on their own. It is also implied that Goto Ryuji manages to hold the line well against the ants. However, the momentum shifts after the appearance of a certain character.
The Jeju Island arc is going to be full of action, so fans will get to see plenty of fights. Considering the job A-1 Pictures has done, it is safe to say all the battles will be of the highest quality. Along with Episode 10, there are three more left. The studio will certainly finish the arc within the remainder of the episodes.
