Solo LevelingSeason 2 Episode 9 will mark the beginning of a new arc, namely the Jeju Island arc. In the previous episode, Sung Jinwoo finally conquered the hellish dungeon and defeated Baron. With the latter’s defeat, Sung Jinwoo finally got his hands on all three ingredients needed to craft the Elixir of Life.
After an insanely long fight, Sung Jinwoo can finally head back home and use the Elixir to wake his mother from Eternal Sleep. Currently, the efficacy of the item is unknown, but it is highly unlikely that it won’t work. Ahead of the episode’s release, the official X (formerly Twitte) account of Solo Leveling shared a preview.
Sung Jinwoo Faces A New Conundrum
A large portion of the preview is dedicated to Sung Jinwoo as he returns from Baran’s dungeon with the Elixir of Life. Despite going straight to the hospital,Sung Jinwoo does not use the potionright away. The expression on his face is that of worry, as he will be using an item for the Player on someone other than himself. His concerns are legit, as it could end up triggering something catastrophic.
The other focus of the episode will be on the raid on Jeju Island. The raid will be conducted by several S-rank Hunters from Japan and Korea. In season 2 episode 8, it was revealed that the Hunters from the two countries would team up to stop the ants from reaching their countries.
The Raid’s Success Is Not A Given
Fans already sawthe strength of a single ant inthe previous episode. If more of them were to leave the island, it would end up becoming a massive disaster. So the hunters from Japan and Korea decided to put an end to it. Goto Ryuji revealed his plan of distracting the ants while the Korean Hunters made their way towards the Queen Ant. Since the regular ants can only survive for a year, eliminating the Queen was the highest priority.
Despite so many S-rank Hunters going to Jeju Island, there is no guarantee of them returning alive. In fact, there is a chance that the raid might end in failure and the Hunters will have to go back empty-handed.
Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 9 might not haveas much action as the previous one, but it won’t be devoid of it entirely. There will be many intense emotional moments in the episode, as many Korean Hunters previously fought in the raids conducted on Jeju Island.
