Beingdeveloped and published by Supermassive Games,Directive 8020is the latest in a long line ofDark Picturesanthology games. Much like its predecessors,Directive 8020will be a choice-based narrative game in which players make decisions on behalf of a cast of colorful characters.

This entry will take fans on a thrilling Sci-Fi horror adventure heavilyinspired by movies likeThe ThingandAlien, with players needing to escape from an alien life form capable of mimicking the appearance of anyone and anything.Directive 8020is set to release on June 10, 2025.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic

Another horror game that will see players avoiding a shape-shifting foe,Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimicwill take players to Murray’s Costume Manor, an abandoned workshop that hides a prized Fazbear prototype technology. The eponymous Mimic is a new kind of threat to the world ofFive Nights at Freddy’s, being able to use its endoskeleton to become any character.Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimicwill launch on June 14, 2025.

The Midnight Walk

Arguably the most striking game shown during Sony’s most recent State of Play,The Midnight Walkis a dark fantasy adventure built entirely out of clay. Channeling the more horrifyingworks of Tim Burton,The Midnight Walkwill see players join up with the lost lantern Potboy as they venture through five dark tales together, avoiding terrifying monsters every step of the way.The MidnightWalkis set to release on Jul 29, 2025, and it’ll feature a VR mode if players really want to immerse themselves in the horror.

Hell is Us

ThoughHell is Usis not strictly a horror game, its latest trailer teases plenty of supernatural spooks. Project lead, Jonathan Jacques-Belletete, mentioned in an IGN preview last October thatHell is Ustakes inspiration from the2018 Sci-Fi horror movieAnnihilation, and those influences are clear in its recent State of Play trailer, with plenty of trippy Sci-Fi effects and character designs on display.

Days Gone Remastered

Days Goneis a 2019 action-adventure game that grounds itself in post-apocalyptic horror. ThoughDays Gonereceived a notoriously mixed reception upon its initial release, it’s since gained a bit of a cult following, and Sony has just confirmed that a remaster is on the way in April. For those who haven’t played it,Days Gonesees players assume the role of Deacon St. John, a biker on a mission to find his wife in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. This remastered version will cost owners of the original $10 to upgrade, and they’ll get shinier graphics, PS5 Pro support, DualSense functionality, and a few extra modes for the price tag.
