Summary

Stardew Valleyfans can get a new deluxe physical edition of the game on Switch from Fangamer. Despite being nearly 10 years old, the game has stayed in the public consciousness, thanks to an impressive amount of ongoing support and new content from developer ConcernedApe. While ConcernedApe is hard at work on his next title,Stardew Valleystill has some life left in it, and now there’s a new chance for dedicated fans to enjoy it even further.

ConcernedApe, whose real name is Eric Barone, has repeatedly made his commitment to his cozy farming simclear. Despite actively working on another game, the upcomingHaunted Chocolatier, Barone continues to add content to his first project and has said he could evenupdateStardew Valley50 years from now, never wanting to leave the game alone entirely. It should come as no surprise, then, that others would share in the enthusiasm for keeping the game alive, as seen in the latest special release from artists at Fangamer.

Stardew Valley Tag Page Cover Art

Fangamer has announceda new deluxe edition ofStardew Valleyon Switch, including a physical copy of the game with unique artwork, a 16-page comic, and a poster. It’s similar tothe physicalStardewversion Fangamer released in 2020, but this newer one comes with updated art and a longer accompanying mini-comic. There’s also an instruction booklet that can make it easier to get started in the game, asStardewlets players discover a lot on their own without outright telling them what to do or how to do it. Fangamer’s standard physical copy of the game includes this booklet, too, for those who want the guide but don’t need everything else.

Everything Included in the New Stardew Valley Deluxe Edition

Xbox, PlayStation, and PC users are out of luck if they were hoping to grab a deluxe edition for their systems, as the release is only for Switch. However, ConcernedApe isstill updatingStardew Valleyon Xboxand other platforms, so non-Switch users won’t miss out on any actual in-game content. It’s a good time to be a Switch owner andStardewfan, though, as the included merch in the Deluxe Edition isn’t available anywhere outside this release, although Fangamer offers many similar items for individual sale on their site.

As for what’s next for the game and Barone’s future projects, there’s not much clarity on what to expect. ConcernedApe isunlikely to announce aHaunted Chocolatierrelease date in 2025, as he stated in November 2024 that he’s focusing onStardewupdates for now, but some smaller announcements could be in store. Future fixes and new content forStardewmay come down the pipeline, too, considering how often Barone has worked on the game in the past.
