Stephen King Fans Have Some Great Ideas for a Horror Theme Park

Over on Reddit, fans have been throwing around ideas about what they think would make a great addition to a Stephen King theme park. It’s a surprise thatStephen King’s storiesor even some of his most horrific characters haven’t made it to an amusement park in all of these years, but that’s likely due to the author being extra careful of where many of his creations end up, and he has also previously stated that he doesn’t have much love for haunted houses. Even though there’s a slim chance of it happening, that hasn’t stopped fans from shooting some ideas around about what itcouldlook like.

User, MusicalElf22, expressed that they’d love to seeIT‘s daunting sewer battle turned into a boat ride, where visitors could float around the waters of the tunnels in Derry, Maine, as well as coming across ahorrific version of the clown, Pennywise. Another fan suggested that the ideal ride would be giving the classic bumper cars aChristinetwist, where one rider would chase after the other. A “Blaine the Mono” train ride fromThe Dark Towerseries was another popular choice, as was The Marsten haunted house fromSalem’s Lot, with vampires included.

A few years ago, rumors were flying around that King’s universe might come toUniversal’s Halloween Horror Nights, but as yet, nothing has ever materialized. At least fans have plenty of King content to keep them going this year and, hopefully, for the foreseeable future.
