Summary

While fans wait to see the end ofStranger Things,Netflixwill also releaseWednesdayseason 2 in 2025, and I’m one of the many viewers counting down the days until the next part of Wednesday Addams’s (Jenna Ortega) dark tale. Although there isn’t a release date at this point, fans know that manytalented cast members have been added, from Haley Joel Osment to Lady Gaga. I’m also thrilled that Steve Buscemi is going to appear on the hit show.

While I’m hoping thatWednesdayseason 2 is dark but also funny,I’m also intrigued by Buscemi’s casting. In a recent interview, the beloved actor shared a bit about filmingWednesdayseason 2, and I loved hearing what he had to say.

What Did Steve Buscemi Say About Wednesday Season 2?

In an interview withThe Hollywood Reporter,Steve Buscemi talked about working with the talented cast and crew ofWednesdayseason 2.While of course he couldn’t share spoilers aboutWednesday’s season 2 stalkeror exactly who he is playing, I think he gave great insights. He said:

“I can say that I loved working with Jenna.”

Buscemi added that they co-starred inKalara and the Sunas well asWednesdayseason 2. He added:

Buscemi called it"a really, really fun experience"and added:

“I have some scenes with all of the Addams family and my character.”

While of course it’s fun to hear that Buscemi loved co-starring withJenna Ortega, who has been in a number of great movies and TV showsbesides this Netflix Addams Family project,I loved hearing that he shot scenes with the Addams Family members. This makes me think that he has a significant role inWednesdayseason 2. If he didn’t, would he film with Wednesday Addams and her dark, hilarious, and smart relatives?

WhenVarietyreported that Buscemi was cast in the hit Netflix series in April 2024, they said according to sources, he wascast as the Nevermore Academy principal. Perhaps Wednesday gets in trouble and her parents Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán) get called in to meet with him. It would definitely be hilarious to see the three of them talking. I think it’s also possible that Buscemi’sWednesdayseason 2 character findsout about Wednesday’s stalkerand wants to meet with her parents so he can try to help figure out what’s going on.

Busemi’s character might also want to talk to Morticia and Gomez since they’reformer Nevermore Academy students. Maybe he asks them to be involved with aNevermore tradition that season 2 will explore, or maybe he wants their advice about how to make the school better. I would enjoy seeing the three of them chatting and think this could add some levity to the series.

I also wonderif Buscemi’sWednesdayseason 2 character spends time with Pugsley Addams (Isaac Ordonez),who is thought to be attending Nevermore along with his sister in the show’s second season. Maybe the principal wants to see if Pugsley is fitting in or maybe he wants to talk to Pugsley about Wednesday.

No matter how many scenes Buscemi is in, I’m happy to hear that he filmed with the Addams Family members and hope this means that fans willsee the Addams Family mansion in the new episodes. Although it can be tough for a show to integrate new cast members, especially when the original characters are so fascinating to watch, I think Buscemi’s character will work well.
