Summary

Vegeta has faced some of the strongest characters inDragon Ballhistory. From Frieza and Cell to Toppo and Jiren, he’s always chasing fights that push him past his limits. Whether it’s a grudge match or just a chance to prove his strength, Vegeta rarely backs down from a battle.

But even with all the fights he’s had throughout the series, there are still some ridiculously strong characters he’s never fought. Some were major villains that he just never got the chance to face, while others were allies who never had a reason to battle him. Either way, it’s interesting to see just how many powerful characters have slipped under Vegeta’s radar over the years.

1Piccolo

The Most Beloved Namekian

Piccolo was one ofDragon Ball’sstrongest fighters early on, but by the Buu Saga, he had fallen far behind characters like Goku and Vegeta. While he remained a skilled strategist and teacher, he wasn’t much of a powerhouse compared to the Saiyans. That all changed inDragon Ball Super, where he finally caught up thanks to his Orange Piccolo transformation.

Despite being around Vegeta for years, the two have never actually gotten into a fight. They’ve trained together and worked as allies, but a real fight between them has never occurred. With Piccolo now having the power to rival the gods with his Orange form, a battle between the two would be more interesting now than ever.

2Adult Gohan

A Half-Saiyan With Limitless Potential

Vegeta has fought Gohan before, but only when he was a kid during the Saiyan Saga. Back then, Gohan’s raw potential was impressive, buthe wasn’t anywhere near strong enoughto actually challenge Vegeta. Since then, they’ve trained together and fought side by side, but they’ve never had a real, all-out battle as adults.

From the start ofDragon Ball Superto the end of the Tournament of Power, Vegeta remained considerably stronger than Gohan, so a fight between the two wouldn’t have been much of a competition. However, with Gohan’s new Beast form, he can now easily go toe to toe with the Saiyan Prince. And if they went all out against each other, it could be one ofthe most intense battles inDragon Ballhistory.

3Dyspo

Universe 11’s Fastest Fighter

Dyspo was one of Universe 11’s top warriors during the Tournament of Power, relying on his unmatched speed to overpower his opponents. While he wasn’t the most powerful member of the Pride Troopers, his ability to blitz fighters and adapt mid-battle made him a real problem. He even forced Gohan and Frieza to work together just to take him down.

However, despite Vegeta playing a crucial role in the Tournament of Power, he never crossed paths with Dyspo. But considering Vegeta was able to take downGod of Destruction Toppo, it’s safe to say that Dyspo wouldn’t have been that big of a threat to him.

4Evil Buu

A Short-Lived But Memorable Version Of Buu

Evil Buu was one of the shortest-lived yetmost terrifying versions of Majin Buu. After absorbing the Good Buu, he transformed into Super Buu, gaining a massive boost in power and intelligence. But in that brief moment before absorption, Evil Buu was a completely separate being — one that Vegeta never got the chance to fight.

By the time Vegeta re-entered the battle against Buu, he was already facing stronger versions like Super Buu and Kid Buu. While Evil Buu wasn’t around for long, his raw strength and ruthless nature made him a fascinating character. It’s unlikely Vegeta would have been able to beat him at the time, but seeing them clash - even for a moment - would have been a fight worth watching.

5Android 16

A Powerful Yet Peaceful Robot

Android 16 was one of the most powerful fighters introduced during the Android Saga, built specifically to eliminate Goku. Unlike 17 and 18, he wasn’t interested in fighting for fun, as he was a calm and methodical fighter with insane strength and durability. He even gave Cell a tough time before ultimately being destroyed.

Despite Vegeta’s obsession with proving himself to everyone during that era, he never ended up fighting Android 16. This was mostly due to 16’s peaceful nature, as he had no interest in pointless battles. However, given how strong 16 was, it’s likely that a pre-Hyperbolic Time Chamber Vegeta wouldn’t have been much of a match for him.

6Cell Max

The Most Terrifying Version Of Cell

Cell Max was designed to be the ultimate powerhouse, far surpassing the original Cell in raw power. Unlike his predecessor, though, he was a mindless brute rather than a calculated fighter. Even still, his raw power was enough to give Ultimate Gohan, Piccolo, and the Gammas serious trouble inDragon Ball Super: Super Hero.

Unfortunately, Vegeta never got to face this version of Cell, as Gohan quickly took him out after unlocking his Beast form. That said, it’s hard to say how Vegeta would have fared against this beast, as even Orange Piccolo was no match for him.

7Eis Shenron

A Powerful Trickster

Asone of the Shadow DragonsinDragon Ball GT,Eis Shenron wasn’t the most powerful of the group, but he was easily the most cunning. Unlike his brother Nuova, who fought with honor, Eis relied on deception and foul play. He managed to land a cheap shot on Super Saiyan 4 Goku, blinding him, and proving that he couldn’t be trusted.

Despite Vegeta’s major role inGT,he never encountered Eis Shenron. Instead, Goku handled most of the Shadow Dragons on his own. However, considering how much more unforgiving Vegeta is compared to Goku, it’s reasonable to say that he wouldn’t have fallen for Eis' dirty tactics as easily as Goku did.
