Supports inWuthering Wavesare as important as DPS units during combat. They set the field ready for the team’s main DPS to deal an incredible amount of DMG. Of course, they can do that if they have good buffs on top of dealing DMG or providing some sustainability.
This Supporttier list inWuthering Waveswill help players distinguish between the good Supports and the ones that may hold their teams back, but first, keep in mind that the definition of “support” may differ for every player. For instance, a sub-DPS + buffer may be considered as Support for some but not for others, likeSanhua. In this article, the focus will lean more toward buffing, healing, and coordinated attacks.
11Taoqi
C-Tier
Taoqi has one of the longest on-field time inWuthering Waves. Although she can shield and heal her team, she still takes too long to set that up. Her attacks and Resonance Skill hits are so slow and hard to hit, that it makes her suffer to help her team.Taoqi also doesn’t have a certain stat she scales withas her attacks and Supportive abilities scale differently, further hurting her role as a Support.
Basically, the only good thing about Taoqi is her strong Resonance Skill DMG. That is if you are able to fill her Concerto energy.
10Yuanwu
Yuanwu is a character that carries many supportive abilities into his kit. He’s a decent shielder who can grant his team some extra resistance to interruption. He also buffs his team’s DEF% alongside placing an Electric field that launches coordinated attacks with the active character.
Unfortunately for Yuanwu, all the available characters don’t benefit from his kit as nobody yet exclusively scales with DEF% and there are much better characters when it comes to coordinated attacks. For now,Yuanwu sits far away in most Support lists inWuthering Waves.
9Yangyang
B-Tier
One of the best qualities of Yangyang is her ability to leave the field after a few seconds of getting on it. Her Outro Skill will battery the next character’s energy, allowing them to cast their Resonance Liberation more often. She can also collect enemies with her acceptable CC abilities, which further help the next character to be effective with their AoE.
She also buffs her team’s ATK by 20%, although that’s still not enough to put Yangyang in a comparable spot against other Supports inWuthering Waves.
8Jianxin
Jianxin has a kit that can do everything inWuthering Waves. She’s a good shielder with a minor ability to heal. She can deal an acceptable DMG if her build supports that kind of gameplay. She even has a great Resonance Liberation buff from her Outro Skill, which makes her a good pair with characters that depend on their Ults, likeCarlotta inWuthering Waves.
Having many utilities but not excelling in any of them will always be bad for the character as Jianxin can’t fully succeed in any role. She’s outmatched and outperformed in every role she can take, putting her in the lower rank of thisWuthering Waves’ Support tier list.
7Youhu
Youhu can work well with coordinated attack teams like the Zhezhi and Jinhsi’s teams inWuthering Waves. She’s also a useful character to include in Mortefi and Jiyan’s teams. Other than her team healing, Youhu will increase the next character’s coordinated attacks DMG by 100% through her Outro Skill.
Although Youhu can buff and heal, she’s still not a match to otherhealers inWuthering Waves. As a 4-star Support, it’s enough for her to reside in the middle of most tier lists.
6Baizhi
A-Tier
Baizhi is a decent healer who carries small buffs to her team during combat. Her buffs aren’t lost upon switching, which makes her a good choice formany teams inWuthering Waves. As a healer, you can build Baizhi with the Rejuvenating Glow set to grant her an ATK% buff to the entire team. Not only that, but giving Baizhi Bell-Borne Geochelone will further buff the team’s DMG by 10%.
Baizhi also has useful Sequences, like her S5 and S6, that further improve her performance as a Support. Her S5 revives fallen allies at 100% HP, while her S6 gives her a Glacio DMG buff to make her more valuable in Glacio teams.
5Mortefi
S-Tier
Since the start, Mortefi has been one of thebest Sub-DPS inWuthering Waves. His partnership with Jiyan puts both units at a higher rank in most players’ tier lists. Mortefi rains fire on enemies with his coordinated attacks (that’s generated by his Resonance Liberation) as long as the main DPS is hitting enemies with their Heavy Attacks.
What makes Mortefi so good is his Outro Skill that greatly buffs the next character’s Heavy Attacks, which dictates what his team should be all about.
4Yinlin
Yinlin can be a strong buffer inWuthering Waves, which makes her a decent Support to include in Electro teams. She’s also capable of dealing a lot of AoE DMG, especially in her quick-swap teams. Her Outro Skill allows her to buff the next character’s Electro and Resonance Liberation DMG by 20 and 25% respectively.
Those buffs make Yinlin one of the best units to pair with Xiangli Yao, who’s one of the bestElectro DPS inWuthering Waves. Yinlin can also carry the Moonlit Clouds set alongside the Impermanence Heron echo, which gives her the ability to further buff the next character’s ATK and DMG%.
3Zhezhi
As a Sub-DPS unit who doesn’t spend that much time on the field, Zhezhi has one of the best off-field DPS inWuthering Waves. When casting her Resonance Liberation, Zhezhi will start launching coordinated attacks alongside on-field characters. Not only that, but Zhezhi also operates as a battery for the unit that joins the field after her departure, restoring 15 of their Resonance Energy.
As for buffs, Zhezhi provides a strong 20% and 25% extra DMG to the next unit’s Glacio and Resonance Skill DMG, respectively, making her an excellent unit to pair with Jinhsi and Carlotta, who are thebest DPS inWuthering Waves. On top of all that, Zhezhi works Moonlit Clouds set and the Impermanence Heron echo.
2Verina
Before the Shorekeeper, Verina was one of the most favorite Supports inWuthering Waves. In fact, Verina is very similar to the Shorekeeper and almost matches her healing and buffs during combat.
Verina can heal her entire team continuously through her coordinated attacks. She also cast multiple DMG and ATK% buffs from her kit and Echoes set. As a standard 5-star unit, Verina is definitely one of the best Supports inWuthering Waves.
