On June 28, 2025, the official X (formerly Twitter)account for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime sharednews about a second film coming out in February 2026. Aside from the confirmation, the account also shared a key visual featuring Rimuru.
As the film is a year away from release, details related to it are scarce. However, fans can expect the main voice cast to reprise their respective roles for the film.
Additional cast members will be revealed in the coming months.
The staff for the film might be different from the one for the anime, but in case it remains the same, fans can expect Yasuhito Kikuchi to return as the director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu will handle the series composition, while Ryouma Ebata will design the characters. Lastly, the anime film will be produced by 8bit. So far, the studio has done a stellar job with the anime adaptations, so there is very little reason to doubt it.
