The new update, succeedingThe First Descendant’s helpful hotfix 1.2.7that rewarded players with the Flutter spawn for completion, changed the reward to a Social Motion ‘Comic Dance’ and 10 Paints. Even though there are more rewards for players to get their hands on now, most of the player base was furious Nexon made this change because they were looking forward to bagging the spawn, and they thought they had until February 26 to achieve the win.

The First Descendantplayers received more free rewards in August 2024to celebrate Update 1.5, offering free boosts and XP over the chosen weekend, but the looter shooter community would rather skip the extra rewards this time to gain the previously promised Flutter spawn. One Redditor noted it was “terrible timing,” and another explained the spawn reward was the only reason they had been logging in and doing daily objectives.
The First Descendantseason 2 welcomed a host of new featureswhen it dropped back in December 2024, including two new Descendants and an Ultimate Descendant, new customization options like alternate hairstyles, and a loot drop pity system to render farming fair for all. Players will now turn their attention towards the launch of season 2 episode 2, thought to potentially be released on March 13, and fans can look forward to the main story, Battle Pass, Photo Mode, new skins, and more with that drop.
