The Sims 4’s kits were introduced in 2021. Intended to be hyperfocused on a particular theme,The Sims 4’s kits only offer a few items, but enough to pull together an outfit or build a room around a certain theme. Kits tend to complement base game content, but the best ones tend to have items that are unique. Kits are split between Build and Create-a-Sim, or CAS, with one kit focusing on one or the other.
Masculine framed Sims tend to get fewer Create-a-Sim items than feminine Sims in expansion packs. Kits can be a way to find a balance between the two, with some Create-a-Sim kits being more equal than expansion packs in this regard. Children also tend to get overlooked in expansion packs, and kits that focus on Child Create-a-Sim items can help to fill that gap. CAS kits can also add certain outfits that tend to be lacking inThe Sims 4, such as swimwear, or items such as business casual.
S-Tier: Adding Effortless Style to The Sims 4

Children rarely get catered to in CAS, and theFirst Fits Kitfills that gap. TheCarnaval StreetwearandFashion Street Kitsare drawn from Brazilian and Indian fashion respectively, givingThe Sims 4some much-needed representation, and they both include some of the best CAS items inThe Sims 4. TheSweet Slumber Partyincludes a wide range of well-designed sleepwear, as well as some fun accessories, allowing for some fun storytelling scenarios for Simmers, particularly Teens.
B-Tier: Popular Styles For All Seasons
TheGoth Galore Kitadds some much-needed make-up toThe Sims 4and is the perfect complement to content packs such asVampires. TheModern MenswearandMoonlight Chic Kitsinclude much-needed items for male-framed Sims, who often go neglected in content add-ons. ThePoolside Splash Kitincludes a range of swimwear for Simsof all life stages Child and above, and includes matching swimsuits for the whole family.
C-Tier: Create-a-Sim Items That Don’t Quite Match The Theme
TheGrunge Revival Kithas some throwbacks to the grunge trend, with more of an emphasis on old and thrifted items rather than clothing that is grunge in style. However, the items do complement the Werewolves game pack. TheThrowback Fit Kitwas one of the first kits to be released and, like theSimtimates Collection Kit, while the items are well-made, there are other options for these items in the base game and in other packs.
