The new Skill Mastery Perks introduced inThe Sims 4with theBusinesses and Hobbiesexpansion pack add a layer of depth to how Sims interact with the world. These perks provide unique advantages that can significantly alter how Sims perform certain activities. For instance, they might enable Sims tolearn skills at a faster rate, manage their needs more efficiently, or even extend benefits to other Sims around them. This feature allows players to tailor their Sims’ abilities to better match their aspirations and lifestyles, adding more strategic gameplay options and personalization to the experience.

While Skill Mastery Perks share some similarities with reward traits, they come with notable differences. Unlike reward traits, which can be obtained through satisfaction points orsimply completing Aspirations, these perks are more exclusive—Sims are limited to having a maximum of four. This restriction encourages players to make thoughtful decisions when selecting perks, balancing their Sims' strengths and priorities. Here’s a guide on the full list of Skill Mastery Perks and how to obtain or change them inThe Sims 4.
