While Skill Mastery Perks share some similarities with reward traits, they come with notable differences. Unlike reward traits, which can be obtained through satisfaction points orsimply completing Aspirations, these perks are more exclusive—Sims are limited to having a maximum of four. This restriction encourages players to make thoughtful decisions when selecting perks, balancing their Sims' strengths and priorities. How to Get Skill Mastery Perks in The Sims 4
There are a few methods of obtaining skill mastery perks in the Sims 4. Generally speaking, they can be obtained gradually while simply playing the game and focusing on certain activities or interactions:
It’s also possible to add the desired Mastery Perk through cheats - the same way adding any other trait. In this case, players will need to write: traits.equip_trait trait_MasteryPerk_{perkname} to add the Mastery Perk. The name of the trait will typically be without any space in between.
How to Remove Mastery Perk
Removing a Mastery Perk might become necessary if a Sim wants to focus on different benefits. Currently, there are two ways to remove a Mastery Perk. The first is by purchasing theMastery Perk Removerpotion for 100Satisfaction Points. The second option is through cheats—players simply need to replace the ‘equip’ part of the cheat code with ‘remove’ to successfully remove the perk.
