Usually, when players obtain a treasure map, it’s because they bought it from a merchant inAvowed. However, in the Dead Man’s Mail case, you will stumble upon the treasure map while exploring the desert in Shatterscarp. It is the third region the Envoy will get to visitalongside the companionsin order to seek the Garden’s entrance.
A thief who is used to robbing graves has finally created an armor using Necromancy. It is said that whoever equipped the armor will be able to harness the powers of the dead to change the tides in battle. Sadly, the armor reeked of death, which is why the creator hid it until the smell went away.
While exploring the desert in Shatterscarp, you will eventually stumble upon the Great Sand Sea. In the middle of the area just northwest of the Sand Sea Oasis(above the letter S from Sea), players should find an abandoned camp. Inside one of the tents is a glowing skeleton that hassome useful materials inAvowed, andone of these items is the Treasure Map - Dead Man’s Mail.
The map will show some destroyed structures and there will be a bell tower on the left and a wooden crane in the middle. Considering the Great Sand Sea is a desert surrounded by rocks and a few oases, the obvious location should be Shark’s Teeth.
To find the location mentioned in the Treasure Map - Dead Man’s Mail, head to Shark’s Teeth and activate theSharks Teeth Party Camp spot inAvowed. From there, head west and cross the bridge to see a broken railing to the right. Here, you’re able to see the reference drawn on the treasure map if you look ahead. Next, go down the stairs, then jump down to find a broken column up ahead. Climb it and jump to the upper platform to find a chest containing the treasure.
You will get a unique medium armor called the Necropants, and here are its special abilities:
Poison-Proofed
+30% resistance to Poison Accumulation.
Other than the obvious decent poison resistance, you will get to summon a spirit to fight with you for a short period of time.Don’t forget to collect materialsand level up the armor to last longer in battles and increase the armor’s overall stats.
