Summary
AValheimplayer has shared a screenshot of their Kilns, which they’ve given a bizarre makeover, adding three unique faces to them. Similar to other survival games,Valheimoffers players a lot of creative wiggle room, as is evident with these Kiln designs.
While in early access,Valheimhas reached impressive Steam milestones, selling over 4 million copies in less than one month. The game continues to find success with players who still participate in this early access phase, hitting another milestone in May 2021, when it reached 6.8 million copies sold. Having such a massive community, the game still regularly reaches 40,000 active players, with an all-time Steam peak of over 500,000. From this community, many players share incredible creations, likeLord of the Rings' Helm’s Deep, a massive roller coaster, and a replica of Thor’s hammer. One gamer has decided to focus on a smaller project by giving their Kilns a bizarre makeover.
Reddit user TheFotty recently shared an image of theirValheimbase that focuses on a particularly unique Charcoal Kiln design. Having three Kilns underneath a roof, the player made three different faces, each with their own characteristics. The face on the left has red flags that resemble fangs and Ulv trophies for its hair. The central face has blue flags in its mouth and a root in its forehead, while the Kiln on the right has a diamond design in its mouth and a Dragon egg above its eyes. Each face features flames for its eyes andValheim’s Charcoal Kilnsilluminating its mouth. However, they are otherwise very distinct from one another. Beyond sharing the bizarre Kiln makeover, the Reddit user also highlighted an image of their standard Kiln design before the project. Before the faces were added, their Kilns looked like any other and were placed underneath angled Thatch roofs.
This Creative Valheim Kiln Redesign Adds Character to This Player’s Base
According to TheFotty, their Kilns were created in an unmodded vanilla Survival realm, and the building snap points were all done manually. The Ulv trophies used as hair for the face on the left can be collected from defeated Ulvs inValheim’s Mountain biome. Ulv can specifically be found inside Frost Caves, which are also home to Cultists, Bats, and Stone Golems. Dragon Eggs can also be acquired in the Mountains, and they are required to summon the fourth boss, Moder. Some Reddit users compared the design of these Kiln faces to theDarksiders' Charred Council, while one pointed out the similarity between the Kilns and the meme of three very distinct hydra heads.
Given that Kilns are essential to mainValheimbases, this design may inspire other users to give their essential furniture a makeover. AsIron Gate Studio continues to updateValheimwith new materials, this Kiln build could see new additions that make the faces stand out even more.
