Since February 25, Valkyrae and Cinna have been streaming their Sis-A-Thon on their respective Twitch channels. The marathon was supposed to run until March 3, but they had to cut it short a day early after an altercation at the Santa Monica Pier.

During their March 2 IRL stream on Twitch, Valkyrae and Cinna hung out with Emiru in various places, ending their day at the Santa Monica Pier. They later met a stream sniper who asked for their numbers and even went down on one knee and offered to sing songs after they turned him down. The streamers quickly left after the man said that he would keep following them until he got their contacts. As Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru were leaving, the man caught up to them and tried to lunge at them, but was held back by security and the streamers' crew. Streamers and Fans React to Sis-A-Thon Stream Sniper Incident

After the IRL stream ended, many people sent their well-wishes to Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru after the scary situation, and also expressed how relieved they were that they weren’t physically harmed. QTCinderella even shared the website of her trusted security agency, who she calls to keep her safe during her own IRL streams andbig events like the Streamer Awards, in hopes of helping other streamers. Several content creators also came to Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru’s defense after trolls accused them of using the situation for clout.

Despite their popularity, IRL streams often attract many stream snipers because they can see where creators are going to be in real-time.Emiru has said in the past that she wouldn’t do IRL streamsbecause of over-enthusiastic fans who might stalk her in public. Many creators have also shown scary incidents that happen on stream, like getting into an accident or getting swatted.

Valkyrae and Cinna’s Sis-A-Thon incident is just one example of the extent that which stream snipers will go to in order to get the attention of their favorite streamers. Suchstalking incidents are unfortunately common among female Twitch streamers, but they usually happen behind the scenes. The situation might stop Valkyrae and Cinna from doing IRL streams in the near future, but they are already planning to do a brunch stream with friends at a later date.
