The easiest way to get Charcoal is to buy some from a merchant. SinceCharcoalhas a wide range of uses, a lot of merchants in even just the first section of the game sell it. Some early game locations you’re able to buy Charcoal are:

When buying crafting materials in bulk, it’s important tomaintain a good reputationwherever you may and aim to get the best price so as to not spend all your hard-earned money only on a single thing. These three merchants are only between two close-together towns, so it’s easy to buy up their entire stock in just a day if you need that much. If that happens just waita few in-game daysand come back to see their stock replenished and ready to be bought again.

Where To Find Charcoal In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

You’ll find charcoal randomly throughout the game either on enemies or in a few chests, though early into the game there’s a spot you can head to and get 50Charcoalfor free. Starting in Troskowitz, take the main road heading east. Continue on until you reach the fast-travel point for Apollonia andbegin heading south past the rancher’s hut.

In the forest, you’ll find theUnfinished Cottage, which will be a location marked on the map. Along the back wall of the Cottage will be a locked chest, and just to the right of it will be a small bag of charcoal. Loot the bag to get 50 Charcoal for free, without stealing from anyone. Since this is a lot of charcoal to get at once, be sure tostore it properlyso you don’t have it all sitting in your inventory and maxing out your carry capacity.
