When hunting monsters inMonster Hunter Wilds,you’ll be able tokill them outright or try to capture them alive. While there are a few steps to capturing a monster, and you’ll still need to fight it for a while before it’s weak, you’ll need specific tools to put the monster to sleep to capture it.

Where To Find Sleep Herbs In Monster Hunter Wilds
Sleep Herbs only grow in a few select areas throughout the world. They aremarked on the map by a light blue plant icon, and placing a waypoint on one using the map while ridingyour Seikretwill have your mount take you there automatically. In the open world, Sleep Herbs appear as tall plants with white balls of leaves towards the top. Sleep Herbs always spawn back in the same spots, and after being picked, they will respawn after 15 minutes of real-world time.
Getting Sleep Herbs from any of the areas listed below willusually give you two Sleep Herbs, though it will require a lot of backtracking to these slots if you plan on capturing a lot of monsters.Capturing monstersis usually a quicker process than killing them, and can help those who want to quickly get through the base game to tackle the post-game content.
Where To Find Sleep Herbs In The Plains
You can find three batches of Sleep Herbs inArea 10 of the plains. From the location of the numbers on the map, you’ll find two of the batches along the river, with the third batch being up directly north of the number 10 on the map.
Where To Find Sleep Herbs In The Forest
Head to thesoutheastern corner of Area 12, just path the river will be another path with a batch of Sleep Herbs being found along the left side of the trail.
Where To Find Sleep Herbs In The Cliffs
Sleep Herbs can be found in thenorthern section of Area 6. After passing through the first open area, continue north until you reach the next platformed area, with Sleep Herbs being found immediately to the right in that section.
