There are quite a few easter eggs and pop culture references inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and one that many anime fans might appreciate is the Strange Strawhat, a direct reference to the popular animeOne Piece. Instead of being just a simple nod to the series, the Strange Strawhat is an actual wearable item that players can find in the wilderness.

If you’re the type to look foreaster eggs inKCD2, then Luffy’s Hat is definitely one that you should seek. It’s not terribly hard to reach, but it’ll take quite a bit of time before you can get to where it is if you’re just starting out.

Where to Find the Strange Strawhat in KCD2

TheStrange Strawhatis a unique piece of headwear that you can find sitting on a spiked rock in the Kuttenberg region. The POI you’re looking for is called theold massive tree, which isdue south of Kuttenberg city and past the Charcoal Burners' Camp. Once you reach the camp, ride to the center of the woods and push southward. Use the map above as a reference.

The one thing limiting players here is the fact that in order toreach Kuttenberg inKCD2,you need to play through a significant chunk of the main campaign. Basically, you need to complete half the game before you can reach this region, so if you haven’t resolved the issue with Lord Von Bergow in the Trosky region, you better get to it if you want this hat.

What Does Luffy’s Hat Do?

If you’re looking for a useful piece of equipment, you’ll be disappointed to know that the Strange Strawhat does nothing butmake you stand out like a sore thumb. It offers no protection (with it being made of straw and all), and it will increaseyour Conspicuousness statby a whopping 950 points.

For the unaware, Conspicuousness refers to how easily NPCs will spot you — the higher the stat, the more visible you are. This means that the Strange Strawhat is completely out of the table if you’re planning on creating a stealth-based outfit.

Inversely, if you want to draw the attention of everybody for some reason, then all you have to do is place this hat on your head. However, since it offers no protection, you’ll need to be extra careful when it comes to defending your noggin, as a stray strike or arrow can easily send you back to a previous save file.
